Author's Biography

C J.Thornhill was bom in West Yorkshire, England, in 1966. He studied Modem and Mediaeval Languages at the University of Cambridge (1987-1990), and wrote his doctoral thesis on Walter Benjamin and Karl Kraus (1990-1993) at the Universities of Cambridge and Frankfurt am Main

He was Lecturer in the School of European Studies, University of Sussex, England, ffom 1993 to 1995, and is now Lecturer in German at King's College, London
