FUEl. TANKS - Test for water and dirt by taking a sample at the sump drains. Push in on draincocks and use a sam· piing jar and water detector kit, FSN 664()'892·2264. See TM l()'llOI (28 Jul 65) on reading your sample. Check fuel supply lines for loose connections and leakage.

TAIL ROTOR ORIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY -Check security of shafts, hangers, coupling clamps (installed 90· apart for proper balance) and covers. INTERMEDlATE (42°) GEARBOX - Secure? No leaks? Oil level full? When adding oil to the intermediate and tail rotor gear boxes be sure you don't switch filler caps, or you won't get the proper seal on one . .. the intermediace gear box will be pumped dry and you know what that means (ugh!!).
