course everybody in your outfit 's up-la - snuff on his maintenance know-how. But so m etimes you do need a little help on an extra tough proble m. Right?

So, what do you do? Where can you get help? Well, there are severol places. Try these for sizeYour own Ordnance or Engineer units have trained officers

and men who are available to help you with your Ordnance or Engin eer equip ment. The same 's true of your Post Ord -

nance and Post Engin eers. Th ey can give you a hand with a maintenance prob lem that 's got you stu mp ed. Or, if you think your men need special train ing in some phase of their work, then these sharp Ordnance m en or Eng ineers can visit your unit for a training session or

have you come to their shop for instruction, And, th at's not all. They can te ll you if your equipment's in the right shape to be used and how to use and operate it right. And they 'll let you know if you 're using your stuff right. They' ll give a hand in fig uring out your unit's basic loads of supp lies and eq uipm ent. You can have them go over your sup· ply operations, and they 'll show you how to do everyth ing- like making out issue slip s, keeping records and storing supp li es. Then, you've got so me extra he lp at va ri ous Arm y posts. They' re civilians - and top · notc h speciali sts in weapons, tank s, ve hicl es and the lik e. Th ose you find for Ordnance equipm e nt are ca lled Ordnance Corps Maintenance Tech ni· cians, and they work out from your Post Ordnance office. The se men' lI give your unit special training in maintaining Ordnance e quipm e nt. Th ey'll hold classes, give group instruc· tion-in fact , do practically an ything to help keep your e qu ip· ment in tip .to p shape. All you need to do is contact your supporting Ordnance or Enginee r unit to see about getting the help you nee d .

All ve hicles in your outfit whether they're commercial sedans or ~ ton Jeeps, are tactically. used vehicles simply because t hey're assigned to a TO&E unit which is a tactical ou tfic. Paragraph 2 c (t) of AR 700· 105 (26 July 1950) says, .. 'rnclic:.tl usc of a vehicle is a ny usc in llircct con nection with combat or tactica l operations, or t he training of troops for these opera tions." This goes right to rhe heart of your problem.
