We just just received official confirmation ( AFTER SEVERAL MONTH?) that Dr. Jameth Sheridan, HealthForce co-founder and formulator, crossed over into the realm of Spirit earlier this year. After 25+ years of hard work, tremendous personal sacrifice, and dedication to making the world a healthier and more compassionate place, the world has lost a hero, and Heaven has gained another angel. His wife, who was also his best friend and soul mate of 25+ years, has been steeped in unfathomable grief and wasn’t in an emotional state to post an official announcement to anyone, not even us or her own friends and family, so we didn’t get the news or the full story until now. The Sheridans had actually begun unplugging from their stressful public lives in 2015 to live off the grid, write books, and pursue their other dreams, including developing plant-based Permaculture and farming methods for more sustainable living. So Jameth had stepped down from his position as HealthForce CEO and was finally pursuing his dream of living off the land and developing farming methods to help save the world. His goal was to then put the power into the people’s hands to grow and create their own plant-based food supplements in their own yards rather than having to rely on products in bottles, which he always said was second-best but usually the best people could do in the modern world. Sadly, he never got to see his dream come to full fruition, and our hearts are breaking for what his widowed soul mate must be going through. Jameth ultimately passed due to an unexpected complication from septic septi shock, but this was after a long and complicated journey, which he was writing about in a forthcoming book that his widow will eventually complete. Jameth was actually battling health complications from an early age, and his interest in health, which began in his teenage years, not only helped him to deal with his own health issues but also enabled him to share that knowledge to help others, which was always his passion. In fact, he usually spent more time helping others than taking care of himself. Anyone who knew him personally knew that this is just the kind of person he was. He was always the one to stop and help people at the side of the road when everyone else just whizzed by, regardless of how exhausted or hungry or late he was to his next destination. These are traits of a rare and true hero; a truly compassionate soul. These traits began in early childhood, as he was also the boy who stood up for other children on the playground even if it meant he ended up being the one who got attacked instead. By the end of his teenage years, he instinctively knew he needed to do more for his health than than average person, and intensive study in Iridology confirmed that he was born with tremendous genetic weaknesses. In fact, Iridology professionals often used him as an example of a person with the worst genetic constitution they had ever seen. He was told on more than one occasion that he “had his work cut out for him” right there in his own body. Jameth always kept a positive attitude and felt that perhaps all of his genetic weaknesses were somehow Divinely ordained, putting him in the unique position of having to go the extra mile to really understand how to keep the body healthy – even if that body starts out with tremendous disadvantage. By his early twenties, he already had early stage kidney cancer of a very aggressive form. He didn’t yet realize exactly what he was dealing with or just how aggressive it really was. just looking at alleged statistics, Jameth kept track of countless real-world cases of kidney cancer over the years. 100% of the cases he studied, who had the kidney removed even in stage 1, still ended up with metastatic cancer that eventually killed them. He was determined to find another way. Unfortunately, he ended up running two companies and having separate cell phones for each of the two companies, which he kept clipped to the top of his belt for over 10 years, both flanking his right kidney, not realizing until too late that he had added tremendous fuel to the fire, and the beast that he had conquered for so long was back. Yet again, he kept a remarkably positive attitude, feeling that this too was somehow Divinely ordained, as it led him to do tremendous research into the connection between cell phones (and wi fi in general) and cancer. This became yet another mission of his, and he made great strides in researching ways to reduce cell phone radiation and wi fi as much as possible while still living in the modern world. Ultimately, and with the insistence of his worried wife, Jameth realized he was spending too much time trying to help others and not nearly enough time taking care of himself. So he tried numerous times to step away from the stressful position of being CEO of a growing company constantly under fire, but the company kept being unfairly attacked, so he continually felt it was his duty to step back in and defend the company rather than taking care of himself. When the Prop 65 situation began its brutal attack on the natural products industry at large (some speculate that this can be traced back to conflicting special interests, but we won’t venture into that territory), it became an intense passion of his to research the natural occurrence of heavy metals in natural foods, the balance of nature, and how this differs from the occurrence of heavy metals in inorganic substances. He insisted on spending tremendous amounts of money on this research, meticulously testing every product and every ingredient both through a cutting-edge in-house research lab (for which he spared no expense) and also independent third party research labs. He soon learned the hard way that this was no less than stepping into a lion’s pit without any armor, and HealthForce was in over its head, so he backed down, spearheaded a product recall, and approved having the Prop 65 labels applied as required to products shipped to California. He also began to realize the importance of living one’s dreams in order to fully self-actualize and overcome disease, so he began exploring all of his goals and dreams and deciding what he wanted to do with the second half of his life. Ironically, Jameth’s wife is an afterlife researcher who had devoted a considerable amount of her own life (with Jameth’s ongoing support and assistance behind the scenes) doing work to help those grieving the loss of their beloved pets. That information is clearly relevant, and it is just astonishing to me that a superfood company would engage in a massive cover-up of the founder's death, all in a Hillary Clinton-style campaign of deception and denials. They even claim on their web site that any talk about this death is nothing but a rumor, and they have a special "rumor email" set up for fans to report more "rumors" so they can keep lying to the public. This is NOT the kind of transparency we all demand from so-called "clean" superfood companies who are supposed to tell the truth. Here's the information I'm willing to release so far, without divulging the name of this person or the company he foundedHere's what I can tell you so far while respecting the privacy of the deceased and his family. I hope you understand that I am trying to protect the privacy of this person while granting the company an opportunity to do the right thing and acknowledge all this in their own way. This company's customers have a right to know that the founder and formulator who sold them all these products did not survive past the age of 46... (it's highly relevant and a matter of public safety). This person was a very public, extremely well known formulator and promoter of raw foods, vegan lifestyles and superfoods. His products are still sold everywhere at retail and at various in-person festivals and events. I've interviewed him in the past, and his videos are all over Youtube. Over the years, he offered a tremendous amount of very useful information to the public, through numerous books, videos, public appearances and so on. His company has been in trouble before over heavy metals, and the operators of the business have been extremely deceptive in the past about hiding this information from the public. They were hit very hard a little over a year ago with a nationwide recall related to the heavy metals content of their products. This recall put them in a rather dire financial situation. The founder died at age 46, so he wasn't very old. Those who were close to him told Natural News that he died from kidney cancer. We have already obtained proof of his death through publicly available death records. You can't find the death records of this person by using the name you know him by. That was actually a stage name. His real name is almost entirely unknown by the public. The death record under his real name is readily available online. Once you attain his real name, all the rest is just a matter of public record. He passed away in March of 2016, and the company he founded and ran decided to conceal this information from the public, almost certainly as a scheme to keep the money flowing in from product sales.

Jameth always kept a positive attitude and felt that perhaps all of his genetic weaknesses were somehow Divinely ordained, putting him in the unique position of having to go the extra mile to really understand how to keep the body healthy – even if that body starts out with tremendous disadvantage. Sadly, she is now facing the biggest type of loss a human being can fathom: the loss of a soul mate, a best friend, a life partner, a twin, so to speak. She has truly lost her other half, and we fully respect and understand that she wasn’t ready to talk to anyone about it until now. In fact, she still isn’t ready, but circumstances beyond her control have forced her to tell us the story in response to an inaccurate attack against HealthForce, the company that she and her life partner worked hard and sacrificed so much to build from the ground up, literally starting out homeless and putting everything into a business and a cause they believed in, originally hand writing, Xeroxing, and stapling catalogs themselves before they could afford a computer, and selling products out of the trunk of the beat-up car they lived in, long before the internet became a place of commerce. HealthForce, too, is now grieving the loss of this incredible man who did so much for the world. His love for humanity, the Earth, and all beings – and his unstoppable passion to help others – fueled all of the exhausting work he did on this planet. Jameth was a pioneer and a visionary leader. In time his controversial theories will meet acceptance at large, as is often the case with those who effect positive change in the world. We believe he will now be able to see this eventual acceptance from a higher vantage point. He was a powerful warrior and a compassionate loving soul. He dedicated his life to helping others heal, rescuing animals, and honoring Mother Earth. Jameth touched many people's lives with his mission, one that he executed with great passion, generosity, and love for the world and everyone in it. His spirit will live on forever through his legacy, which HealthForce continues to carry forward. Why I Didn't Share This News Sooner, Here Is My Story:   I thought I knew grief. My first pet died when I was a very young child. Over the years, this led to many more beloved pets and many more losses. Over time, one by one, I also lost my great-grandparents, my grandparents, a very close friend, and other friends and relatives. To varying degrees, depending on the closeness of the relationship, all of the losses were painful. All of them were important souls in my life with whom I had spent a lot of time and shared warm memories, and they were sorely missed after they departed. Whenever I was hit with a particularly difficult loss, I tried various outlets for grief support. Along the way, evidence of an afterlife came to me unexpectedly and provided significant comfort. Then I found myself on a path into a new career that I had never chosen or expected; it chose me. I became known as an expert on animals and the afterlife, and I became known as a grief expert for those suffering the loss of a beloved animal. I devoted many, many years to providing comfort to those in grief. Comforting others was interspersed with going through losses of my own. I became certified in a successful form of grief therapy. I continually researched both the afterlife and grief in an effort to find ever greater comfort for those in grief. I thought I knew grief.

Then life took me on a path that I never, ever expected at all. I was on an intense journey with my life partner, and we thought it was preparing us to help countless others to overcome a most deadly disease, a disease that causes intense physical pain and suffering, and one that takes nearly half of our population away, often far too soon. I thought this would in turn prevent many others from having to experience the intense emotional pain that follows these untimely and miserable losses. I had done my time with grief; now I wanted to prevent it from happening to people in the first place. I thought I knew grief.

Then crisis hit, suddenly and unexpectedly in the middle of the night, and I spent a day in the Emergency Room and two weeks in the ICU with the love of my life. For two weeks, I literally lived in the ICU, sleeping in a little cot with hard metal springs protruding into my back during the sparse and constantly interrupted sleeping hours. I doted over my Beloved, argued with hospital personnel who were completely closed-minded to the idea that alternative therapies could possibly help, and spent hours online at a little table next to the cot, gathering research data to support the use of these therapies in a futile attempt to get permission to incorporate therapies that the hospital wouldn’t allow. For those two weeks, I ate virtually nothing. Literally. I was dehydrated and exhausted, running on pure adrenaline. When my Beloved slipped into a semi coma, I suddenly felt very alone. More alone than I’ve ever felt in my life. But I kept fighting. I did everything I could. I filled the hospital room with as many therapies, positive affirmations, subliminals and other healing sounds as I could. Every day I had a new list of things for family and friends to bring to the hospital. I brought in healers and therapists. I chanted with mala beads, as did two close friends. I prayed the rosary, and I’m not even Catholic. In fact, I prayed the rosary all night long every night, occasionally falling asleep and dropping the beads, only to suddenly awaken in a panic and start again. Every time I went to the public bathroom down the long cold hallway, I literally got down on my hands and knees and prayed, begged, pleaded, bargained. I envisioned and I intended. ​ eople came in to pray over my Beloved, and others gathered to pray from afar. I talked to my Beloved, stroked him, tried P to make him more comfortable. Hospital staff insisted that he had no idea what was going on and that he was no longer responding to anyone, but whenever I was the one who got right up close to him and looked him in the eyes, he suddenly responded. He responded to me and me alone. He still knew what was going on. He still knew his Beloved was by his side and on a mission much like a similar mission we had been on together ten years earlier when our closest friend was hospitalized and we were fighting for our friend’s life together. This time, rather than fighting side by side with my Beloved, I was fighting for my beloved. It had always been us against the world, so to speak, and we could accomplish anything together. Now it was me against the world. My only goal in life anymore was to get him out of shock and well enough to take him home and go back to our life together, the only life I had known for most of my years on this Earth, and a life that we had only just started redesigning in a way that incorporated more fun and less stress, with all new goals and dreams we shared. I always believed I would succeed in getting him out of the hospital and back to the way things were before. Then one day he finally woke up. He suddenly opened his eyes, turned his head in my direction, and looked straight at me. His lips moved, but I couldn’t tell what he was trying to say. He looked better, and his pupils were no longer dilated. He was no longer in shock. After looking at me, he looked over at my mom, who was right there next to me, and then back at me. We were overjoyed and started talking about getting him out of there ASAP, telling him that the worst was over. Or so I thought. I had no idea that this was the last time my Beloved and I would ever look each other in the eyes. And then, just as suddenly and unexpectedly as he had opened his eyes, they closed. Later that night, things went downhill very rapidly. I was more terrified than I had ever been in my life. Nevertheless, I didn’t believe I was going to lose him. He and I had made a pact. He had told me that if he ever found himself accidentally slipping out of his body and heading toward the Light, he would tell them he wanted to go back, no matter how wonderful it seemed when he got there. He promised. We had listened to an audiobook, which came into our lives on two separate occasions as if to emphasize the importance for us to hear it, about Anita Moorjani, a woman who died and then came back to life and had a miraculous healing. That was our Plan B. As the night wore on I eventually realized that Plan B was at hand. I still didn’t believe he was going to die. His breath slowed down, as did his pulse. Every time he flatlined, his vitals mysteriously improved for a moment but then flatlined again. I saw his aura coming and going. I literally watched what appeared to be him trying to get back into a body that just wasn’t cooperating with our plan. For hours after he had taken his last breath, I was still watching and waiting. I still didn’t believe he was going to die. Things hadn’t gone as planned. But I still didn’t believe he was really going to die, even long after he had died. Eventually I was told I had no more time and needed to leave... without the love of my life. I was in shock. I thought I knew grief.    I stroked the face and hair and kissed the lifeless lips of my Beloved. The now cold, still body was the body I had laid next to every night for my entire adult life. The lips I had kissed goodnight every night. The strong warm shoulders and arms that had held me close and comforted me through countless moments of grief over a 25+ year span as I had weathered the loss of special pets, friends, and family. This time, when I needed those strong warm shoulders and arms more desperately than ever before, they weren’t there. I thought I knew grief. He was the one. The one I knew was “the one” the moment our eyes first met. He knew it too. Instantly. We had both felt a strong indescribable call to be in a certain place at a certain time because we both somehow knew that the other would be there. And we were. We each had loved one other person before we met each other. But it was nothing like this. He was my one true love, my soul mate, my twin flame, my other half. He was also my life partner, my business partner, my husband, my best friend, my sidekick, my everything. I hadn’t lost just one person. I had lost a whole clan of important people all wrapped up into one. We had been homeless together. We had been failures together. We had been successes together. We had been together. For the majority of our lives. We had inside jokes and pet names and games and songs and adventures together. We had laughed hysterically together, somehow finding things funny that no one else saw the humor in but us. In a way, we had our own language that only the two of us understood. Every memory that flooded my brain included him. On the list of the most stressful events a person can go through, death of a spouse is at the top, high above the others. Death of this kind of a spouse is that much higher. Then I heard myself saying out loud – and really feeling it – that it’s better never to have loved at all than to have loved and lost. It’s just too painful.

I thought I knew grief. Suddenly I found no comfort in the afterlife at all. I knew he was in a better place, but he was in that better place without me. We had vowed to always be together. We had even removed “til death do us part” from our marriage vows. But suddenly we found ourselves on opposite sides of the veil that separates the physical world from the world of spirit. This wasn’t the plan. What the HELL had happened??!! I thought I knew grief. Then I found myself trying to raise my Beloved from the dead. Literally. I literally spent three months trying to raise my Beloved from the dead. As insane as it sounds, raising my Beloved from the dead was the only thing that kept me sane. Keeping hope alive that there was still a chance, that he’d still come home with me, was the only thing that kept me alive. Otherwise, I would have become one of those people who literally die of a broken heart. I wouldn’t have survived the first day, or the first week, or the first month, or the first three months. I stayed up all night reading books on raising the dead. I prayed special prayers. I did affirmations and special ceremonies and held the vision. I insisted to close friends that he had risen from the dead. Some believed me, some didn’t. But I was terrified that if people didn’t believe he was still alive, they’d stop praying for him. They’d stop holding the vision. I believe in the power of prayer and visualizing and manifesting, and I had seen that power in action many times in my life, so in my mind, the more people who were holding that vision, the greater the chances of success. I also still truly believed that he would be raised from the dead, so there was no sense in telling people he had died, because it was only temporary. He’d be back to life soon, and life would go back to normal.  After three months without seeing my Beloved rise from the dead, I began researching time travel. Perhaps I could go back and change things. Perhaps I could prevent this dreadful thing from happening in the first place. I was constantly finding ways to keep hope alive, which was still the only thing keeping me alive. I thought I knew grief. I never really understood until now that grief is actually multiple emotions all in one, often all at the same time. Grief is also fear and it is also anger. I found myself having angry outbursts that I had never before experienced in my life. When my printer malfunctioned for the LAST time, it ended up at the bottom of the pool. When the handset of my internet phone wouldn’t hang up properly, I beat it against the phone until the display screen shattered and no longer displayed the name or number of the person who was calling, so I stopped answering the phone. I beat the crap out of my cell phone until the display screen cracked and then I stopped using it entirely. I ransacked my own office. I threw things. I broke things. And I did a lot of screaming and wailing. I often yelled at the top of my lungs when in the car. I yelled at my GPS. I yelled at other drivers. I yelled at parking spaces that were too narrow for even the smallest of cars to realistically fit into. I yelled at people who hadn’t parked straight and ended up using two parking spaces. I yelled at parking lots that didn’t have enough spaces to begin with. I yelled at people who didn’t use their blinkers. I yelled at God. I yelled at the Universe. I yelled at myself. I mean, really YELLED. At the TOP OF MY LUNGS. When people sent me emails saying they didn’t believe that my Beloved was really alive, or that I needed to make a formal announcement, I was FURIOUS. How DARE they stop holding the vision of my Beloved being alive?!  How DARE they accuse my Beloved of being dead?!! He and I don’t die on each other. That’s not what we do. I never believed he was going to die. For months after he had died, as crazy as it sounds, I still didn’t believe he was really going to die. I’m not a psychotic person. I’m about as sane and logical as they come. I’m not a stupid person. I actually have a very high IQ. I understand the difference between fantasy and reality. Yet I was coping the only way I could. My body/mind/spirit was in survival mode, and it knew what it needed to do to somehow get me through this. I thought I knew grief. For the first time ever, I realized that grief is also fear. Fear is the opposite of love. Intense love had been taken from me and replaced with intense fear. Fear about the future. Fear of facing the next 50+ years alone. One day I was trying to figure out exactly what was this physical feeling inside my body that gripped me 24/7. I was trying to figure out how to describe it. It finally hit me. It was like that feeling you get when someone you love dearly is in the ICU, or in surgery, or late coming home and you can’t reach them on the phone and you fear the worst. That feeling of terror that grips your gut and stays there, makes your heart race, tenses your whole body, puts a lump in your throat that practically strangles you, and nearly takes your breath away. That horrible intense whole-body feeling that doesn’t loosen its grip until your loved one wakes up alive, or comes out of surgery, or comes home safe and sound, and then it releases your body with a profound sigh of relief. This was that feeling but without the part where it goes away in a sigh of relief. It stays and moves in and becomes who you are. At that point, you’re just a living, breathing bundle of terror. You don’t know what joy is anymore. You don’t know what laughter is anymore. All you know is terror. It becomes you, and you become it. You live in fear. Constant fear. Fear that the unthinkable not only MIGHT happen; it HAS happened: your Beloved really isn’t coming home after all. The temporary fear of “What if this terrible thing really happens?” becomes the permanent terror of, “Oh my God, this terrible thing REALLY HAPPENED!!!” I thought I knew grief. I was well versed in the “stages of grief.” But somehow I had always thought of them as a checklist, and the job of a grieving person was to get through each of them, one by one, until all the boxes were checked and life went back to normal. In reality, the stages of grief come and go in waves and in random order, sometimes one at a time and sometimes all at the same time. You’re in one stage one moment and then you’re in another stage in the next moment, and then you’re back to the one you thought you already got through. It’s like a roller coaster through Hell. A living Hell. I thought I knew grief.

All of the types of grief therapy and grief support that are supposed to work sometimes don’t. They just made me feel worse. I found no comfort in words that were supposed to comfort. Words meant to soothe just cut like knives. Words like, “He’s in a better place” just incited furious responses of “But I’M NOT!!!” Words like, “His spirit is all around us now” just conjured up emotionally devastating mental images of my Beloved no longer being intact, but rather torn up into a million pieces and splattered all over the Universe, never to be put back together again. When well-meaning people sent sympathy cards in spite of my insistence that there was nothing to sympathize, I refused to read them, fearing that seeing those words in black and white might somehow etch them into my reality and take away my hope that I might really be able to raise my Beloved from the dead. When I made the mistake of actually opening and reading a card, it opened a floodgate of tears and pain and anger and rage like I never knew one body could contain. When I tried various forms of grief therapy, it often just made me feel worse. When I read books that were intended to comfort and discovered that they were telling me to say goodbye to my Beloved and move forward, I dug my proverbial heels into the ground and said, “HELL NO!”  When I listened to grief support CDs, the sad soothing tone of the narrator and the depressing music often just made me feel more miserable than I already did, if that’s even possible. I thought I knew grief. I once loved music and believed it was very healing. I now hated it. Instrumental music made me too sad, and music with lyrics brought up memories and reminded me of the way things were, conjuring up images of slow dancing or ballroom dancing or freestyle boogie or cranking it up and playing air guitars with my Beloved. Images of laughing and singing on road trips with my Beloved. Now hearing that same music was absolutely devastating. If I got into the car and accidentally hit the “on” button and it started playing music, I found myself yelling “Shut the FUCK up!” as I immediately punched the “off” button. If I had to go out to an appointment at the vet or the dentist, if they had the NERVE to play MUSIC in the waiting room, it was a living Hell. I tried to drown out the music with distracting thoughts inside my own head, silently yelling “Shut the FUCK UP!” over and over in my mind. If that didn’t work, I went outside. No one had a clue of the emotional hell going on inside my own mind. I put on a “happy face,” was friendly to everyone I met, acting on the outside like everything was completely normal and wonderful. If I happened to run into someone I knew and they asked me how my husband was doing, I said, “He’s doing great – thanks for asking!” More smiles. I kept up this front for as long as I could, and then I raced to the car or home and collapsed, as it was exhausting and torturous to keep up this front for prolonged periods of time. But the only alternative would have been to respond with, “He’s dead. He died. My whole world has been torn apart, the rug has been pulled out from under me, and I honestly don’t know how I can go on.” This would open up a floodgate of convulsive sobbing and tears that I couldn’t allow to happen in public. I already knew what that looked like in private, and it was nothing I wanted to subject innocent strangers or even acquaintances or actual friends to. People usually don’t know how to talk to someone in grief. They don’t teach this stuff in school. So people fall back on cliches they’ve heard, or things that are supposed to be helpful but in reality just make the griever feel worse. At least that’s the case with this kind of grief. It’s hard on the griever, and it’s very awkward for the kindhearted person trying to help. If people knew that I was in grief, they might think that I must need a hug, so they’d hug me, not knowing that the only hug I want is the one I can’t have: the warm, strong familiar hug of my Beloved. So I felt it was better, for their sake and mine, not to go there. Other than essential appointments, I became a recluse. I was in hiding. I was hiding from music. I was hiding from painful social interactions. I desperately needed the whole world to just leave me alone for awhile and let me do this in the only way that worked for me. Grief is like a fingerprint. No two people’s experience of it are exactly the same. I thought I knew grief. I was a hermit. I needed the world to stop interfering with my process. Unfortunately and ironically, because my Beloved and I had lived lives in service to the world, now that I was going through the most painful experience of my life – more painful than I could have possibly imagined – more pain than I thought a human being could go through and even survive – that same world we had served for so long was now looming in the background, threatening to pounce if I made one wrong move. When you live a public life, you’re not really allowed to honor your own privacy, and the world at large isn’t willing to honor it either. They want to make your business their business. In some cases, you’re expected to announce the very personal hardships of your own personal life for all the world to see. Experts say you’re supposed to wait a year before making any big decisions when dealing with this kind of grief. Deciding exactly how to make an announcement of this caliber is a big decision. A very big decision. I knew I’d only have one chance to decide exactly how to do it, and then I’d have to live with it, because I wouldn’t be able to go back and undo it if it came out wrong. If I announced my private business to the world too soon, I’d likely do it wrong in my incapacitated state, and it would incite a backlash of cruel people who would just LOVE to slam my Beloved and everything he stood for. If I waited until I was actually ready to come out of my cocoon and do it right, I’d be criticized for waiting too long, or accused of hiding something. I knew I was in a no-win situation. I also realized we live in a world of conformity where unique and ethical lifestyle choices are always in question. Vegans aren’t allowed to have cancer. Raw fooders aren’t allowed to get sick. Health conscious people aren’t ever allowed to have anything wrong with them. The rest of the population can be wrought with cancer (not to mention heart disease and diabetes and a whole host of other health conditions) and they’re treated with sympathy. But when health conscious vegans have cancer or any other health condition, it’s blamed on their diet. If veganism and health products were actually the cause of cancer, then that would be great news for the rest of the population, because that would mean that the vast majority of people would never have to worry about cancer. Such is not the case. If my Beloved’s diet and supplements had caused his demise, then I would have died too, as we were both on the same diet and supplement regime for 25+ years. But I know the world we live in and the industry my Beloved is known in. In a world of good versus evil, so to speak, the evil seem to enjoy going after the good while making it appear that it is the other way around. They want to make your hardship their glory. They want to kick you when you’re down. They want to make you wrong. And because they feel that your private life is their business, the times when you need space and privacy the most are the times when you’ll end up being criticized the most for it. The truth is, I couldn’t even bring myself to announce anything to my own close friends and family. Even putting it into words was too devastating to entertain. That would make it too real. My pain was raw and deep, and I just needed everyone to leave me alone for awhile. Immediate family already knew, and they were honoring my process. They

were going through their own process. I couldn’t even think about dealing with public relations or what would become of the company, or how the company would pay its legal debts, or even my own future. None of it mattered anymore. The only thing that mattered was preserving the honor of my Beloved, the most kindhearted, generous, selfless, and compassionate man I have ever known. This wasn’t about a PR campaign, or a company, or public opinion. This was about two real living, breathing human beings who were each other’s world, who had tragically and unexpectedly become separated, causing more pain than one can even fathom if they haven’t been through it themselves. I thought I knew grief. When you don’t think you’re going to die, you don’t get your affairs in order. When your affairs aren’t in order, someone else has to handle them post-mortem. The paperwork involved in getting one’s affairs in order is more time consuming and complicated than I ever realized, especially when your life is as busy, complicated, and multifaceted as ours was and still is. So I never really took actual time off. Along with grieving, I was still working. I had a lot of responsibilities still on my plate. I was now also doing all his jobs, all my jobs, all his chores, all my chores, and handling all the required paperwork that was coming at me because of his passing. So I was still at my desk all day virtually every day, dealing with credit card companies and files and reports and taxes and other things that just kept coming at me. And all of it was constantly reminding me of a harsh reality that I didn’t even want to believe, which made me feel even worse. Life wasn’t letting me take time to just grieve. It was forcing me to grieve while simultaneously doing ten other things at once. I thought I knew grief. My home was silent. A home once filled with music and laughter was now silent. Deafeningly silent. I needed something to drown out the silence. Something to drown out my own thoughts. I decided to give music another chance, but I knew it had to be music that didn’t remind me of him. I tried to recall the music from my high school days, a million years ago, before I had found my Beloved. Music that didn’t bring up memories that I couldn’t allow in. Music that I could resonate with in my current state. Music that could be a companion, whose lyrics spoke what I was feeling. Music that expressed on my behalf, to help share the burden. Only one song fit that bill: Fade to Black by Metallica, so I found it on YouTube and played it on my computer, over and over, for hours on end as I worked at my desk. Whenever it got to the long guitar solo at the end, I started it over. I needed the lyrics. I needed those words to be the only words in my world for awhile, because those words understood me. Then I ordered the song online and put it on our stereo in the middle of the house and cranked it up. Really loud. DEAFENINGLY LOUD. I looped it and cranked it for hours and hours and hours, over and over. Somehow, I couldn’t turn it down. It had to be LOUD. I played that song over and over, over and over, only turning it off at bedtime. This went on for days. Then my ears began ringing so loudly that I feared I’d lose my hearing. So I turned it off. And my home was silent once again. Deafeningly silent. I thought I knew grief. I’ve never been a suicidal person, but when a small earthquake hit in the middle of the night, for a moment I got excited, thinking, ”Maybe this is FINALLY the BIG ONE – here to take me out of this Hell!” When a sonic boom soared through the sky overhead when I was in bed, I seriously thought, “Awesome – maybe World War 3 just began, and a bomb is about to put me out of my misery!” When I heard the news that some people were murdered in their home not far from me, I felt sad for the victims and their families, but also deeply disappointed that the murderer had gone to their home instead of mine. If someone else killed me, it would provide me a much-welcomed exit because I could never actually kill myself. As enticing as suicide sounded, I never actually entertained the idea for three reasons: 1. I would NEVER want to put my family through even a tiny dose of this kind of grief;  2. It might land me in a different level of the afterlife from where where my Beloved was, thereby defeating my whole purpose in going there;  and 3. If he did rise from the dead and come back to me, only to discover that my own body was now lifeless, it would be a very tragic Romeo and Juliet story, and we’d still be on opposite sides of the veil. So I’d have to stick it out here on Earth, as miserable as I was 24/7. I thought I knew grief. Never before had I spent so much time making comparisons like, why is THAT person still alive, doing nothing good for the world, and my Beloved isn’t. Why is THAT person still alive, causing so much harm to others, and my Beloved isn’t. Why are THOSE people alive, and my Beloved isn’t. This led to creating mental bargains. “Okay, God, how about this: Let’s trade those  six – eight – ten – whatever – worthless lives for this one good one. Send this one back, and we’ll all be glad to send that other dozen over. They’re doing no good here, and their souls don’t appear to have the capacity for any more growth in their current existence anyway.” Sometimes this even degraded to, I wish THAT person had died instead. And on and on went these negative and non-productive thought processes. This inevitably led to relentless rounds of couldawoulda-shoulda that nearly drove me insane. Painful images played over and over in my head, which led to more couldwoulda-shouldas. Eventually I would yell, “STOP THINKING!!!!! Don’t think! Don’t feel! Just be. Just do. NO THINKING!” Then I forced myself to do positive affirmations and fill my mind with something empowering for as long as I could sustain it before the negativity forced its way back in. I talked to myself incessantly, in a frenzied pace, like a madwoman, saying the same things over and over again. As I walked across the room, I heard myself saying, “I’m walking across the room... I’m walking across the room... I’m walking across the room...” This would continue until the next task, and then it was “I’m sitting at my desk... I’m sitting at my desk....” or “I’m filling out this form...I’m filling out this form...” etc. And on and on it went. Eventually I realized it was my mind’s way of keeping me in the Now. What seemed like the actions of a person who had finally lost it were in reality getting me out of my downward spiral of coulda-woulda-shouldas and into the Now. Not the past. Not the future. Now. My body/mind/spirit seemed to know what it was doing, and it was able to do so better than any book or CD or other attempt at working through this. But it needed its own space and it needed its own time. I thought I knew grief. I became dependent on anti-anxiety herbs just to get me from one dose to the next. I had fits of sobbing for literally hours

on end until there were no tears left to cry. I spent a lot of time hyperventilating while rocking back and forth in the fetal position on the hard cold floor. Even when I sat at my computer and worked, I moaned and rocked back and forth uncontrollably like a madwoman. I’d have periods of quiet and then suddenly, unexpectedly, I’d get triggered by something – something I saw or heard or read or came across – and then I’d spontaneously burst into tears. I’ve never been one to cry very easily, so this was new for me. I’d go from screaming to deep wailing to moaning. Sometimes I’d literally cry all night long without stopping. In the morning I’d lie there for hours trying to find a reason to get out of bed, then finally force myself to do so because I needed to take care of something. I’d try to exercise, but then collapse on the floor because I was just in so much emotional agony that I couldn’t even hold myself up. As the day wore on, I began praying for exhaustion so that I could have a few solid hours of blissful ignorance in slumberland before being awakened by harsh cold reality and having to face this reality yet again. Each time I awakened from sleep, it was like being dealt a fresh blow. When I first awakened, there was a mere split second of blissful ignorance, but then I was attacked by reality all over again. It was like losing him over and over again, night after night after night. When I reached over to the other side of the bed, instead of feeling the warm safe body that had been there for nearly 26 years, I felt nothing, which was horrifying. All I had now was a bag of my Beloved’s hair, which I had collected from his hairbrush, and his lifeless photograph. I thought I knew grief. My heart was empty. My heart was broken. I had never before realized how much a broken heart physically hurts. My heart literally, physically ached all the time. Sometimes it was more of a stabbing pain. It felt like my heart had been brutally ripped out of my chest, torn into pieces, thrown on the floor, and stomped on. I also felt like I had been punched in the stomach, and my throat had a permanent lump in it. I never knew that this level of extreme grief had so many other physical symptoms that I had never experienced before. I didn’t know that grief could cause things to taste different, or that it could cause dehydration, dry skin, shortness of breath, or other symptoms that had now become a regular part of my everyday existence. My appetite went away, and when I forced myself to eat anyway, I didn’t really digest it. Not even a simple piece of fruit. For months on end, even the simplest foods just ran right through me without really absorbing, and I began losing weight until I got down to 92 pounds. I began researching the physical symptoms of extreme grief and realized I had them all. I thought I knew grief. I was living in territory that I had never known before. Thankfully I had my mom, who was my rock. She too was extremely close to my Beloved and felt her own pain over this loss, but she made it her mission to focus on somehow getting me through this. If not for her getting me out of bed and keeping me fed, I probably would have starved to death. She kept me company, even overnight for the first few months, and she provided as much support as any human being could possibly do under these circumstances. I was grateful to have her, but I was also terrified. I was afraid I might lose her too. And the rest of my family. Nothing felt safe. Nothing felt secure. I was waiting for the next shoe to drop. Thankfully, it didn’t. I gradually found grief outlets that worked for me, at least to a tiny degree, and that was progress. I had never stopped praying, but now I also had an increasing collection of other tools working for me instead of against me. The extreme physical symptoms lessened, the weight started coming back on, and instead of just shutting down as I had hoped, my damn resilient body was recovering in spite of me. I was just starting to come out of my shell. Preparing to take the next step. And then the other shoe dropped. It was a different shoe than I was fearing. I didn’t lose anyone else, thankfully, but the outside world caved in on me and invaded the personal life of my Beloved and me. It felt like fresh wounds had been cut, and acid had been dumped into them. I am still weathering this new storm and doing the best I can under the circumstances. I feel terrible about all the stress this has caused others, as I would have preferred to just go on living in my own private Hell than to have the details of my private life spread over the internet and used to dishonor my Beloved, everything he stood for, and everything he worked so hard for, thereby affecting the lives of countless others, saddening some, frightening others, and angering still others. I want to apologize to them all, but I fear that my words will just be used against me. Against my Beloved. Against everything we created together. I don’t know how long this new storm will last, so I’ve completely withdrawn once again, protecting my fragile and broken heart from a sometimes cruel and vicious world. I am not ready to be hugged. I am not ready to read sympathy cards that might tell me things I don’t want to hear. I may never be ready to read those cards. I’m just taking it one day at a time, trusting the inner voice that has somehow guided me through this nightmare thus far. But it’s by no means over. Up until six months ago, I thought I knew grief. What would you do if that same company attacked you as a "rumor" spreader and posted documents calling you a liar for telling the truth about their products? And finally, what would you do if you knew that tens of thousands of people were taking those products right now, and you also knew that those products contain alarmingly high levels of toxic heavy metals like lead, arsenic, cadmium and aluminum?

This is a company whose sales are largely contingent upon the almost super-human health claims of the founder and formulator... a person well under 50 years of age who died nearly six months ago from kidney cancer, according to my sources. That information is clearly relevant, and it is just astonishing to me that a superfood company would engage in a massive cover-up of the founder's death, all in a Hillary Clinton-style campaign of deception and denials. They even claim on their web site that any talk about this death is nothing but a rumor, and they have a special "rumor email" set up for fans to report more "rumors" so they can keep lying to the public. This is NOT the kind of transparency we all demand from so-called "clean" superfood companies who are supposed to tell the truth.

Here's the information I'm willing to release so far, without divulging the name of this person or the company he founded Here's what I can tell you so far while respecting the privacy of the deceased and his family. I hope you understand that I am trying to protect the privacy of this person while granting the company an opportunity to do the right thing and acknowledge all this in their own way. This company's customers have a right to know that the founder and formulator who sold them all these products did not survive past the age of 46... (it's highly relevant and a matter of public safety). This person was a very public, extremely well known formulator and promoter of raw foods, vegan lifestyles and superfoods. His products are still sold everywhere at retail and at various in-person festivals and events. I've interviewed him in the past, and his videos are all over Youtube. Over the years, he offered a tremendous amount of very useful information to the public, through numerous books, videos, public appearances and so on. His company has been in trouble before over heavy metals, and the operators of the business have been extremely deceptive in the past about hiding this information from the public. They were hit very hard a little over a year ago with a nationwide recall related to the heavy metals content of their products. This recall put them in a rather dire financial situation. The founder died at age 46, so he wasn't very old. Those who were close to him told Natural News that he died from kidney cancer. We have already obtained proof of his death through publicly available death records. You can't find the death records of this person by using the name you know him by. That was actually a stage name. His real name is almost entirely unknown by the public. The death record under his real name is readily available online. Once you attain his real name, all the rest is just a matter of public record. He passed away in March of 2016, and the company he founded and ran decided to conceal this information from the public, almost certainly as a scheme to keep the money flowing in from product sales. Obviously, if news of the manner of his death were made public, the company might lose credibility with its own customers. So the company's current operators apparently made a truly bizarre and wildly unethical decision to hide this death from their own customers. (Just f'ing WOW... what do you even say to something like that?) As a result, this company's products continue to sell very well, even though some of the products contain levels of toxic heavy metals that are very high compared to most other superfoods. In my mind, I am personally convinced that these heavy metals strongly contributed to the death of the founder. Another source tells me that the personal stress from the forced product recall may have also played a role in his cancer condition. This person aggressively talked about how his products PREVENTED cancer. That was

the strong emphasis of his public talks. In my view, this is almost certainly why his death is being covered up. Personally, I feel very sorry for anyone who dies of cancer, and I have no intention of mocking this person for his mistakes, suffering or physical death. I wish him love and peace in whatever existence there is after this world, but we must be honest in acknowledging that the heavy metals in his products may be right now contributing to cancers in other people, too. It's a harsh truth, but it must be stated out of concern for the many thousands of people who still purchase and consume his many popular products. What gravely concerns me is the idea that this company's products are continuing to expose consumers to heavy metals across the country and around the world, all while the death of the founder has been covered up and apparently lied about for nearly six months. The product line is a premium priced line that almost everybody is convinced is incredibly pure, clean and super amazing. And that's also highly disturbing, because it just goes to prove that even a highly contaminated product line that's loaded with heavy metals can be perceived by the public as ultra-clean, pure and powerful. (This is why I run my ICP-MS laboratory and test everything I sell for heavy metals. I will NOT sell products to the public unless I can verify they are clean first.)

Legitimate questions we must all ask You probably share some of my very serious and legitimate questions about all this: Why didn't the company share the news about the death of its founder with the public? Why have they chosen to engage in a massive cover-up instead of telling the truth? What caused the death of the founder? Once the name of this company comes out, will they also lie to us about the cause of death? Why does this company not seem to care about transparency with its own customers? Has the almighty dollar become so supreme in their minds that they are willing to compromise their ethics just to keep the money train running? Will this company now go public and admit its founder has died, or will they call all this a "Mike Adams rumor" and continue to pretend their founder is still alive? How much longer will the company's current operators keep playing "Weekend at Bernie's" and try to trick the public into thinking their founder is still alive? What was their long term plan, exactly, about the questions that would obviously arise when no one had heard from the founder for a year? Two years? Five years? Were they planning on keeping up this Big Lie for years on end? Exactly how is this company going to wage a character assassination attack against me personally for being the only person in this industry with enough honesty and courage to actually warn the public about all this? My punishment for telling the truth has always been to be vilified by the f---tards living in denial. I can't wait to see how they're all going to make this somehow MY fault... trust me, that's coming any day now. As all this explodes, remember one thing: You read it here first on Natural News. I take no joy in bringing you this story, by the way. But I have a moral and ethical responsibility to do so. And there's no question that Natural News has the kind of courage to publish real, honest news that nobody else will even touch. All the customers of this company have the right to know when the founder passes on. And they deserve honest answers, not an organized conspiracy cover-up from the company itself.

My comments on the phone transcripts So what you are witnessing here is a company that's pretending their founder didn't die. This is a group of people who all claim to be about honesty, transparency, healing, health and high vibration. And they are all involved in a death cover-up conspiracy to deceive the world. Just WOW. I ask you: Is this the proper way to honor the life work of this individual who passed away? To cover up his death and not even give people a chance to attend his funeral? If I had been purchasing these products, and if I believed all the claims of the founder, and I'd been putting this stuff into my body year after year, I'd feel pretty betrayed about all this.

And I would sure wonder about all the "high integrity" and "high standards" claims this company keeps touting all over its website.

The founder of Healthforce products, which Natural News guru Mike Adams claims are poisonous, has passed on. I believe that his diet was partly raw, but he thought that sometimes cooked food is appropriate. However, Mike Adams does not list which particular products are polluted. Rather vague on all this. Decide for yourselves. My own thinking is that where there's smoke there's fire, but Mike Adams is a bit of a blowhard sometimes. He runs off at the mouth and then has to back up somewhat. Why doesn't Mr. Adams just obtain & publish a certified copy of Dr./whatever's California Death Certificate....easily available for a price since California is an "open state" as far as those public records (except for adoptions) are concerned? Seems like that would settle the matter as to cause of death & how long whatever condition or conditions went on. Doesn't Gerson have a clinic in the Escondito area---couldn't they help? I heard that if greens on grown on soil with lead, the greens will uptake the lead. So then, you will have "organic" lead. Here MIke adams says that rice protein can have high lead, but lists Healthforce's protein powder as low for heavy metals: [labs.naturalnews.com] I remember when Mayway Corp (a Chinese herb company) was targetted with the prop 65 ruling. This company actually had/has much higher standards and quality than many other companies but because they were well known, big and successful, they were sued, while the smaller companies with actually worse quality were ignored. After the ruling, which they didn't want to fight because it's too expensive to fight in court, they had to put a prop 65 sticker on everything they sold, regardless of what it was, which was ridiculous because there were only a small number of items in question amongst the hundreds of herbs they sold. I am pasting a passage of the link that Horsea gave. It is Jameth's wife sharing how she spent months hoping he would be raised from the dead. That was her coping mechanism. Just curious as to how/why this husband & wife team calls themselves "Dr." Are N.D. "affiliations that loosey, goosey that no prescribed course of study is required to annex them to one's names? I noted in the FDA letter of just a few years ago that it wasn't addressed to Dr. nor to even Jamie Sheridan, although the wife seems to claim that they actually both changed their names (legally)? Andreas Moritz also looked unwell for months prior to his death, the cause of which his associates would not talk about for the longest time. After pressure from his fans, his family (wife, I guess; no kids) said it was from exposure to mold. Like Jameth, it was impossible to find any obituary or details about him, so I guess "Andreas Moritz" was an alias, also. He was a good man, for the most part, and helped a lot of people. 0

Second, he was giving speeches at seminars for people with cancer who were looking for alternative cures, and so indirectly promoting his lead-contaminated (Shilajit-tar containing) products to them. He promoted products tested and found to be in violation of California Health & Safety Code re: toxic levels of lead even after being notified by the Environmental Research Center, Inc. of said violations and presented with a lawsuit. http://oag.ca.gov/system/fi...

this could be even more sinister than it appears on the surface. The fact that the socalled doctor conveniently 'disappeared' into thin air when the proverbial SHTF raises red flags. look at the timeline here: He was facing a lawsuit from a consumer watchdog nonprofit agency which was initiated at the end of 2014, presumably progressed through 2015, and then he 'disappeared' at the beginning/spring of 2016. I am not making any specific allegations here, but it looks suspicious that this guy purportedly died of cancer, right when facing the repercussions of promoting poisonous products as 'cancer cures'. Seems possibly scripted to make James Dina as sympathetic a figure as possible in the wake of all of this. Oh poor guy, he died of cancer just like all the cancer patients who were eating the lead in Healthforce's products. From what I understand, they said that he had a rare form of kidney cancer many years ago that returned recently, but that it was NOT the actual reported cause of death. His death was, reportedly, due to complications that arose in the hospital, after a minor abrasion caused an undetected blood infection that resulted in septic shock. And, your conspiratorial theories, although somewhat plausible, fail to address the simple fact that he died in a hospital, there was a body, & there is an official record and report of his death. 0

I'm guessing that this revelation could lead to a class action lawsuit. I have purchased several of their products in the past and am very disappointed that the company was so deceptive for so long regarding both the safety and purity of its products but also the health status of its founder. Clearly they (and the widow) have intentionally lied to maintain sales of its products. Disgusting! 4

Kim, take it from someone who knows a lot about this. This has been blown out of proportion. The FDA has an amount of heavy metals that are considered safe and most states follow that, but California has a lower amount that is considered safe and thus making some of those HF formulas ruled as too high in the state. Then a company who makes a living out of sneaking around and finding these cracks, tests the products in the state of California and sues them. Is how they make money. All natural and organic foods have heavy metals, it is inevitable it is a natural element, however, the products are still very very low in these heavy metals. They are simply too high for California. 0

I hope you read the FDA letter and rethink your decision to continue using questionable adulterated/contaminated products.

Apparently the Health Ranger lab has detected significant heavy metal contamination of the product or products sold by the company in question. Heavy metal contamination is known to be harmful if ingested at the levels directed on the product. Knowingly advertising and selling a product contaminated with heavy metals, whether or not the contamination was disclosed is illegal. Knowingly withholding information about the contamination is fraud. If the company's founder has actually died as a result of ingestion of the product this would be evidence of the contamination and/or fraud perpetrated upon the unwitting public who would naturally rely on their claims.

Andreas Moritz also looked unwell for months prior to his death, the cause of which his associates would not talk about for the longest time. After pressure from his fans, his family (wife, I guess; no kids) said it was from exposure to mold. Like Jameth, it was impossible to find any obituary or details about him, so I guess "Andreas Moritz" was an alias, also. He was a good man, for the most part, and helped a lot of people. 0

anyone who will try to accuse you of being 'callous' about the death of this man needs some context. First, by all indications he was tacitly posing as a doctor (MD) when he was not a doctor. Second, he was giving speeches at seminars for people with cancer who were looking for alternative cures, and so indirectly promoting his lead-contaminated (Shilajit-tar containing) products to them. He promoted products tested and found to be in violation of California Health & Safety Code re: toxic levels of lead even after being notified by the Environmental Research Center, Inc. of said violations and presented with a lawsuit. http://oag.ca.gov/system/fi...

These actions led to product recalls in California and to Healthforce CEO James Guenthur Dina ( posing as Dr. Jameth Sheridan) possibly faking his death to escape prosecution. 1

this could be even more sinister than it appears on the surface. The fact that the socalled doctor conveniently 'disappeared' into thin air when the proverbial SHTF raises red flags. look at the timeline here: He was facing a lawsuit from a consumer watchdog nonprofit agency which was initiated at the end of 2014, presumably progressed through 2015, and then he 'disappeared' at the beginning/spring of 2016. I am not making any specific allegations here, but it looks suspicious that this guy purportedly died of cancer, right when facing the repercussions of promoting poisonous products as 'cancer cures'. Seems possibly scripted to make James Dina as sympathetic a figure as possible in the wake of all of this. Oh poor guy, he died of cancer just like all the cancer patients who were eating the lead in Healthforce's products. Another red flag is that, ostensibly, James Dina continued promoting these products to cancer patients after having both - been hit with a lawsuit for selling toxic products and (presumably - fallen ill with kidney cancer himself Does it seem plausible that someone dying of cancer would knowingly promote toxic products to people suffering with cancer, possibly with the foreknowledge that he had poisoned himself with his own toxic products. Or, was James 'James Dean' Dina here (too fast to live and too young to die)

From what I understand, they said that he had a rare form of kidney cancer many years ago that returned recently, but that it was NOT the actual reported cause of death. His death was, reportedly, due to complications that arose in the hospital, after a minor abrasion caused an undetected blood infection that resulted in septic shock. And, your conspiratorial theories, although somewhat plausible, fail to address the simple fact that he died in a hospital, there was a body, & there is an official record and report of his death. 0

anyone who will try to accuse you of being 'callous' about the death of this man needs some context. First, by all indications he was tacitly posing as a doctor (MD) when he was not a doctor. Second, he was giving speeches at seminars for people with cancer who were looking for alternative cures, and so indirectly promoting his lead-contaminated (Shilajit-tar containing) products to them. He promoted products tested and found to be in violation of California Health & Safety Code re: toxic levels of lead even after being notified by the Environmental Research Center, Inc. of said violations and presented with a lawsuit. http://oag.ca.gov/system/fi... No, he had a rare form of kidney cancer many years ago that returned recently, but that was NOT the actual reported cause of death. It was, apparently, due to complications that arose in the hospital, after a minor abrasion caused an undetected blood infection that resulted in septic shock.

Kim, take it from someone who knows a lot about this. This has been blown out of proportion. The FDA has an amount of heavy metals that are considered safe and most states follow that, but California has a lower amount that is considered safe and thus making some of those HF formulas ruled as too high in the state. Then a company who makes a living out of sneaking around and finding these cracks, tests the products in the state of California and sues them. Is how they make money. All natural and organic foods have heavy metals, it is inevitable it is a natural element, however, the products are still very very low in these heavy metals. They are simply too high for California. 0

You will continue to use their products? Did you read the FDA's warning letter about their investigation of the HealthForce manufacturing facility? Did you read that the FDA found their products to be "adulterated" and that they were in violation of Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP)? Did you read that they "failed to establish product specifications for the identity, purity, strength, and composition of the finished batch of each dietary supplement you manufacture...", that they failed to clean equipment between different batches of supplements, and that they "did not maintain, clean, and sanitize, as necessary, all equipment, utensils, and any other contact surfaces used to manufacture, package, label, or hold components or dietary supplements...", and that during the FDA inspection; "a brown-like and orange-like powder residue was observed on the bottling line, sifter, drums, and large totes containing components and in-process dietary supplements." Apparently the Health Ranger lab has detected significant heavy metal contamination of the product or products sold by the company in question. Heavy metal contamination is known to be harmful if ingested at the levels directed on the product. Knowingly advertising and selling a product contaminated with heavy metals, whether or not the contamination was disclosed is illegal. Knowingly withholding information about the contamination is fraud. There is plenty at stake here that has implications beyond Jamey Sheridan's untimely passage. He was a true health crusader and a wonderful human being. Since it is true that Organic certification does not include heavy metal concerns, the entire industry, not one company, is suspect. It's a tremendous tribute to consumer safety that Adam's and Natural News has brought this issue into the light. Most high integrity companies have lay people running them. They do strive to source the best raw materials they can in many cases but probably do not understand the importance of Heavy Metal Contamination. NONE of the half dozen or so prominent labs that test urine or blood samples for heavy metals have any interest or concern regarding h.m. food contamination. The FDA or USDA or Organic Certification agencies share the dis-interest. It's wasted energy to denounce Healthforce when the global objective is to have organic food free of heavy metal contamination. Please note that it's incredibly useful to know that eating certain foods at the same meal offers some protection preventing absorption. That is certainly preferable to chelation from blood, fat, or bone reserves! Of course not, Elspar, unless he was born with a deficiency that could not be fixed, then natural causes would be his death. The FDA letter could have been coincidence, after hearing from his wife. At this point, he supposedly had cancer from young. Although I still do not call that a 'natural cause' of death; it is a cancer death. Even then, you don't want to speculate that the cause of cancer was not environmental (meaning something he ate or breathed or took in). Because, one would never be open to learning about what causes cancer. Moreover, his wife said that his death was caused by the actions of the doctors in intensive care who gave him a med that stopped his heart. 0

I suggest you bone up on the China Study and you'll see how bad our health is compared to other countries due to diet. Sincere thanks. Time to pray. Yes, we must never lose sight of the increase in longevity (which makes cancer stand out even more starkly as the dark and most times preventable thing it is). I am hoping we continue on this trend and human beings are able to live into their hundreds. I read what they said on their site. It seems plausible that they did not know he died. They were employees, not family. The family was grieving and possibly in denial that he was going to die. I do agree however, that if there were unhealthy amounts of heavy metals in the products ( whatever a healthy level is, not sure) that should have been disclosed as directed by the FDA. I don't always agree with the FDA but I want to know when heavy metals are in my supplements. 0

He died suddenly, so they were definitely NOT "possibly in denial that he was going to die," as long-term illness was not the culprit, but, rather, a complication from septic shock; an undetected blood infection that occurred after a minor injury to the skin. And, there is NO "healthy level" that is acceptable to ingest of any TOXIC heavy metals, as any exposure can wreak havoc & have a cumulative effect, over a long period of time; slowly, but surely, poisoning unfortunate individuals that are exposed to these dangerously poisonous & life-threatening compounds. 0

I have no idea what the company knew or didn't know. if they knew they should have said so, but ultimately that is the decision of his wife and his wife alone. If he was no longer the CEO then they could have been taken by surprise. What disturbs me the most is how a simple headline going from Healthforce to health farce does more damage than good for a product that has done so many people so much good. You have a right to complain about this scenario, but you are going much farther in the wrong direction with your words. Healthforce not saying anything about his death and implying a bad product because of it is not right. So he was 46 and died young. Because of what he achieved with Healthforce many people assume he should live an ultra long life since he is also physically active and a Vegan. And just because he was all these things doesn't mean he can completely overcome all his health issues dating back to when he was young. I know first hand that before I became Vegan I had several health issues, including the start of Hypothyroidism and possibly Thyroid Cancer based on my family members issues.....my Maternal grandmother, my uncle and my younger sister. Once I became Vegan at 37 those beginning symptoms disappeared for good. I am now 50 and still no signs of it. I eat very clean and take the Healthforce Vitamineral

Green, Desert Alchemy, Vitamin C and Orac. I am also fully aware of the FDA warning about heavy metals because I live in California with a very strict Prop. 65 (ironically my cousin was one of the of coauthors of this proposition). There are two reasons why the heavy metal levels in the Healthforce Vitamineral Green is not a good enough reason to stop taking it. First there is more naturally occurring lead levels in an Avocado and I will not stop eating Avocados. Secondly, Chlorella binds with heavy metals and flushes them out of the body. I know this from experience because I had heavy metal poisoning from grinding on Mercury Amalgam fillings for years. At 40 years of age I had the fillings taken out and I took a nano Chlorella/Cilantro supplement that rid me of the heavy metal poisoning within 2 months. I know the symptoms of it now and if I was being poisoned again I would know it after 10 years+. So for all of the people getting upset over this and that somehow their products are a farce, please consider the facts instead of assumptions. I have no stake in Healthforce, but ultimately it is always an individual's choice. 3

I hope other health-food companies are paying attention and realize that you can't get away with ripping off the unprotected customer with unsafe product no matter what definitions you use as safe. Even the junk food mob are doing a better job than you and they are pretty greedy and less ethical so whats your excuse then? Companies like this give reason and focus to the FDA, govt, education and medical fraternity to make critical comments and more significantly to attempt to regulate the health food industry for the worse. If the company did not know about the death then how clueless are they and why would you want to buy product from a clueless mob? As an analogy imagine the kids not knowing a parent had passed away. "Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive" could also be the reason. In any case you look bad. Don't rip off honest people! 0

But the analysis of their products shows that they have unacceptable amount of LEAD and probably some other heavy metals. Some ingredients are probably from China. But which ones ? I looked into the sourcing for the ingredients in Vitamineral Green and they are sourced from various places: the seaweed comes from the NW Coast of Iceland, the spirulina from private pools in the Arizona dessert. None of it comes from China. 1

According to the heavy metals grading scale I developed and published at Low Heavy Metals Verified, this concentration of lead would earn this shilajit supplement an "F" grade. As a result of the metals composition found in shilajit, I am issuing a consumer alert to avoid shilajit supplements unless you know for certain that they are significantly clean of toxic heavy metals. (Grade "A" or better at LowHeavyMetalsVerified.org.) Personally, not only would I never eat anything containing 2700+ ppb of lead, I would never sell such a supplement in the first place. In my opinion as a scientist, author and superfood formulator, it is highly unethical to sell supplements to the public when they contain such high levels of lead, copper, arsenic, nickel and aluminum.

What is shilajit? Shilajit is a black, fulvic acid-rich mineral substance that's been used in Ayurvedic medicine for thousands of years. It's currently sold as an Ayurvedic dietary supplement, along with some rather dicey claims that it promotes sexual function, brain function, immune function and even detoxification. It is difficult to fathom how shilajit can be claimed

to be so healing when it is contaminated with such high concentrations of heavy metals and toxic elements. Lead, of course, damages cognitive function and harms neurodevelopment in children. It is exhaustively linked to lowered IQ in humans, making it very difficult to grasp how a product with such high concentrations of lead could claim to support "brain function." Here's an image of the same product name and brand that I tested:

And here's a link to the Healthforce Shilajit web page which describes this dietary supplement as a "thick, resinous material that oozed out of cracks in the ... cliffs" and was eaten by monkeys. That same page explains that the metals and elements found in shilajit are "highly bioavailable minerals." (Just what I wanted for Christmas... highly bioavailable lead, arsenic, nickel and aluminum!) Other claims on the website seem to wildly contradict the known toxic effects of the heavy metals the product contains. For example, the product is claimed to "supports memory, learning, and healthy brain function" even though lead is known to damage memory, learning and healthy brain function. Perhaps most shockingly, the Healthforce web page explains: "We test our shilajit for identity, pesticides, microbials, heavy metals, irradiation, GMOs, solvent residues, and fulvic acid content to assure the high level of purity and potency that our customers deserve." This means, quite obviously, that the Healthforce company is aware of the lead, arsenic, aluminum and other potentially harmful elements found in their shilajit product, but they continue to sell it anyway. That's truly shocking to me. Healthforce is bluntly admitting that even though they test their products for heavy metals, they do not stop selling them when concerning high levels of those heavy metals are found in their products. So what, exactly, is the point of testing them in the first place? Do they test them just so they can say on their website that "we tested for heavy metals?" For the record, shilajit supplements have been banned in Canada for the very reason you might suspect: The substance is so high in heavy metals that Health Canada has long since determined it is too dangerous for human consumption.

because they contain high levels of heavy metals such as lead, mercury and/or arsenic. Health Canada is taking action to remove these products from the market and to prevent further importation into Canada. Ayurvedic medicinal products are used in traditional Indian healing and are often imported from India. According to the principles of Ayurvedic medicine, heavy metals may be used because of their reputed therapeutic properties. However, improper manufacturing processes may result in dangerously high levels of heavy metals remaining in the final product. Heavy metals pose a particular health risk because they may accumulate in vital organs. Children are most susceptible to the toxic effects of heavy metal poisoning. For example, arsenic poisoning can cause nausea, abdominal pain, vomiting, muscle cramps, heart abnormalities, liver damage, anaemia and reduced motor nerve function. Lead poisoning can cause weight loss, insomnia, dizziness, swelling of the brain and paralysis. Mercury poisoning can cause tremors, insomnia, memory loss, slowed sensory and motor nerve function, and reduced mental function. As a precaution, Health Canada advises Canadians not to use any other Karela, Safi, Maha Sudarshan Churna, Yograj Guggul, Sudarshan or Shilajit products unless they have the required market authorization.

Testing protocol As you know if you've followed my work for very long, I am the founder and lab science director at CWC Labs. There, I've spent several years pioneering heavy metals research into foods and dietary supplements through ICP-MS instrumentation. (The U.S. Patent Office has just awarded me two ICP-MS-related patents, by the way, which have been pending for almost three years. They will be published by the government in just a few weeks.) My laboratory has also been awarded this Certificate of Excellence for outstanding analytical work, achieving "100% acceptable data" while producing analysis data for water samples that was off by only 0.3 ppb (0.0003 ppm). I'm also the author of the widely acclaimed book Food Forensics, which achieved the Amazon.com #1 Best selling SCIENCE book ranking before it was even launched. To test this shilajit supplement, I used our accredited in-house method, based on EPA 200.8, a published scientific method for elemental analysis. The internal standard I mapped to lead for this determination was Bismuth-209, widely known to be the heaviest stable nucleus in existence, with a half life that is more than a billion times longer than the age of our universe. Today, I am routinely testing dietary supplements for many commercial customers. Since launching this commercial testing service at CWC Labs, I have only seen one health product with a more disturbing heavy metals profile than this shilajit dietary supplement: powdered zeolite (which is usually extremely high in lead and aluminum, beyond anything else in the entire industry).

How can it "detox" you when it's so high in toxic elements? Over the years of being involved in the raw food industry, veganism, nutrition and forensic laboratory science, I have come to reluctantly discover that many companies that manufacture and sell dietary supplements are run by people who are scientifically illiterate. You'd be amazed to learn just how many so-called "detox supplements" are actually loaded with toxic heavy metals. It's beyond belief, and if you ran a world-class laboratory like I do, you'd be shaking your head in amazement at the number of "detox" supplements that still exist in the marketplace today, often sold with what can only be called a degree of

carnival hucksterism. Shilajit is no exception. It's been found to contain such high concentrations of toxic lead that Canada banned shilajit supplements, citing high lead content as a threat to public safety. Yet here in the United States, many of the very same people who wouldn't dare eat GMOs or swallow pesticides are literally eating shilajit (or other similar substances) by the spoonful. (Yes, you can scratch your own head in wonderment at all this...)

My official shilajit health warnings WARNING #1) Shilajit supplements may contain very high levels of toxic heavy metals. In fact, many medicinal herbs from India and China (both for Ayurvedic medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine) are very heavily contaminated with lead and other toxic elements. See my recent coverage of the FDA's recall on turmeric for another example. WARNING #2) Some companies that sell shilajit have a long history of selling other dietary products containing very high levels of toxic heavy metals. As you've seen in this article, even when some companies are fully aware of the high heavy metals their products contain, they are willing to keep selling them anyway! WARNING #3) Do not trust any shilajit product unless you have it tested by a competent, accredited laboratory. If you want my laboratory to test products for you, you may purchase these heavy metals test kits to have us test your dietary supplements, soils, water or even your own hair composition. (Our test is conducted via ICP-MS and analyzes your sample for 20 elements, including the toxic heavy metals.) Finally, do not eat rocks or inorganic minerals that might ooze out from between rocks. I know it sounds almost stupid to say "don't eat rocks," but you'd be amazed how many products I've seen in the industry which are basically just ground up rocks. Nearly all cheap calcium supplements, for example, are just compressed, powdered oyster shells or cheap calcium sources often contaminated with lead. If you're taking cheap, low-grade calcium supplements, you are actually causing yourself serious health damage (which is why cheap calcium pills are linked to serious health problems). As I've warned people again and again, get your minerals from living plants wherever possible, not from rocks or rock derivatives. And do not believe the quack science of the fringe supplement pushers who claim things like "lead is a mineral, so it's good for you!" There's no such thing as healthy lead, by the way. For decades, they put it into gasoline to improve engine performance. What we got as a result is nationwide cognitive decline and a huge rise in mental retardation. Go figure...

Thank you for this post! I took normal recommended does of Shilajit and months later, started to have itching on my face then hands. Now my hands look like severe eczema and my face is red and peeling and starts to itch when I consume vegetables or dairy (not normal). I stopped Shilajit months ago, but still have metals detoxing, I’ll have to go see a dermatologist now... 0

What I am missing here is a frame of reference. For Shilajit, a recommended daily dosage is usually ± 300mg. That would reduce the lead intake to a very very low -and harmless- level (the official WHO threshold for lead is 250 mcg daily for an adult, 75 kgs). Also take into account that many fresh vegetables are 'high' in lead: per serving e.g. - spinach: 15 mcg; - fresh collard greens: 30 mcg; - dry roasted mixed nuts: 20 mcg; - Brussels sprouts: 15 mcg of lead, etc... (numbers from a 2007 FDA study, available on the FDA website). Just a number means zip. Breathing in an urban environment is probably more harmful than consuming some Shilajit every now and then - although I also underline the need for quality verification (ask for a CoA ! ). 0

I took two different brands of shilajit and feel the second brand might have been toxic and threw it out. Since taking it I've have cognitive issues and blurred vision. I suspect it's from the second brand of Shilajit. What's the best form of test for my body to test heavy metals? I've heard that a urine challenge test is good.....looking for suggestions for best practices to test the levels of lead, mercury, aluminum, etc in my body. Thanks!! 0

I buy from Russia, from Altay, it is collected from the mountains. Had taken for about 10 years, on and off, just for over all health. So far, have no complains. You need to do your recearch from which origin it came from, and how they collected. 0

The factor you're forgetting to address is actual serving size, which amounts to negligible and far below the established criteria for safety in metals. When using shilajit, you are taking a small dosage at a time and not consuming it in large quantities. Even if someone wanted to, I can't think of any average consumer who would be able to consume large amounts given the price point, and even then, it would be difficult to reach levels that could be detrimental to health. These are important considerations and ones you should take upon before publicly decrying companies. 3

this amount is so tiny, it's like drinking a glass of water with 0.001mg of lead in it. Lead naturally exists in many organic and non-organic food. The amount of shilajit to take at one time, is nothing to worry about. hypothetically it is crossing the danger zone if you take the whole bottle all at once. 2

I have been taking a green food supplement by HealthForce, the same company. Maybe I should stop. Also I have CoQ10 supplements from Life Extension Foundation that contain shilajit and I have some shilajit from Longevity Warehouse, I wonder if those are safe? One would have to eat lbs of this stuff to do any damage to their body and that's not how shilajit is traditionally consumed, I like Mike Adams, but you're talking absolutely trace trace amounts of lead, aluminium, etc and I mean insanely low trace amounts in in a serving size. This isn't brown rice protein powder where you may consume 50 plus grams a day or 30 grams! You're talking maybe 500 mgs to 1 gram or 2 grams. If I took 1000 grams, I will have exposed myself to 1.4 grams of aluminum. We are not taking milligrams people, but absolutely trace amounts and shilajit cannot be compared to dosages one would consume in other products like cacao and plant proteins. I have personally used many different brands of shilajit, granted I have no experience with this particular product, but I just wanted to highlight ppb in reference to an actual serving size and how that serving size does not compare to eating foods like brown rice, etc...

It's all contaminated from the mountains it oozes out of(it draws the heavy metals out just as it would in you), which is why it's supposed to be refined before going to market. From what I understand it's still a good product if properly refined, but like the olive oil, honey, or lemon juice industries, there are shady producers selling impure, or even counterfeit products labeled as the real deal. Often ozokerite, a smelly naturally occurring petroleum derrived wax with no health benefits whatsoever is sold as shilajit. 3

It's well known that it has high levels of heavy metals if and only if it's not properly refined and sold by unscrupulous hacks that market it deceptively. The stuff is expensive so unless you're taking the brand in the article I'd be more likely to get the kit and have Mike test yours out so we can see. No need to toss it in the trash just because some other product is bad. 2

I am assuming and possibly incorrectly that Shilajit is sourced from similar locations and thus high Heavy Metals is an indigenous issue with Shilajit because of its nature. I just say thank you! Thanks for the info. I had actually bought some Shilajit awhile ago and it has been sitting in one of my cupboards unused for several months. I opened it and smelled like tar and looked gross so never got around to trying it. The brand I have is Lotus Blooming Herbs, Authentic Purified Himalayan Shilajit. Have you happened to have tested that brand? I hate to throw it away. 0

You're joking that 's a hygienic report nothing more. Lotus Herbs might make it seem like they're high quality, but they do not have a test report for either authenticity or the fulvic humic acid levels. Which are the most important ones in this case. For fulvic acid there 's currently a AOAC-validated test available and I've seen results already, actually bought some Shilajit a few months ago, it s by a company called oriveda check it out
