CHAPTER 1 – INTRODUCTION What Is An iPhone? The iPhone is an Apple smartphone with a touchscreen interface that combines a computer, digital camera, iPod, and cellular phone. Apple announced the iPhone 13 in 2021 with a 12-megapixel camera and storage capacity of up to a terabyte (TB). At the Macworld convention, Apple cofounder Steve Jobs introduced the iPhone on January 9, 2007. While not the first smartphone, the iPhone has contributed to the global mobile computing transition among consumers and enterprises. Its main opponent has been Google Android-based handsets announced in 2007 by businesses such as Samsung. The first iPhone came with a suite of Apple apps, including iTunes, the Safari web browser, and iPhoto. The gadget has email services through Internet Message Access Protocol and Post Office Protocol 3. Apple debuted the iPhone under a two-year exclusivity agreement with AT&T Wireless. Still, it took hackers less than three months to unlock the handset for usage on any Global System for Mobile communication networks.

History Apple Inc. created and marketed the iPhone smartphone range. These devices use the iOS mobile operating system. On January 9, 2007, thenApple CEO Steve Jobs launched the first-generation iPhone. Since then, Apple has launched new iPhone models and iOS upgrades yearly. As of 2022, the iPhone holds 15.6% of the worldwide smartphone market share. The iPhone was the first phone to have multi-touch technology. Since its introduction, the iPhone has received bigger screen sizes, video recording, waterproofing, and several accessibility features. Since the iPhone X, iPhone models have included a nearly bezel-free front screen design, Face ID face identification, and gesture-activated app switching. Touch ID is still

employed on Apple's latest iPhone SE models. The iPhone and Android are one of the world's two main smartphone systems, accounting for a sizable portion of the premium market. Apple has made significant profits due to the iPhone, making it one of the world's most valuable publicly listed firms. The first-generation iPhone was dubbed a "revolution" in the mobile phone market, and subsequent generations have received similar accolades. The iPhone is credited with popularizing the smartphone and tablet form factors and establishing a substantial market for smartphone apps, sometimes known as the "app economy." In January 2017, Apple's App Store had over 2.2 million iPhone apps. In 2004, Apple formed a team of 1,000 people to work on the highly confidential "Project Purple," which was building a smartphone. The project was overseen by hardware engineer Tony Fadell, software developer Scott Forstall, and design officer Jony I. Former Apple CEO Steve Jobs changed the focus from a tablet to a phone. It took thirty months and US$150 million to create, and Apple secretly collaborated with Cingular Wireless on the project. In 1998, Jobs said that the "I" in "iMac" represented the internet, the individual, instruction, information, and inspiration. Apple did not like the Motorola ROKR E1, a generally unsuccessful "iTunes phone" developed in partnership with Motorola, because of its "design by committee" approach. The ROKR E1's firmware, among other issues, only allowed 100 iTunes songs to be stored to avoid competing with Apple's iPod nano. Cingular gave Apple unprecedented leeway in developing the iPhone's hardware and software in-house and offered Apple a cut of its monthly service revenue in exchange for exclusive U.S. sales for four years, from 2007 to 2011. On January 9, 2007, during the Macworld 2007 event in San Francisco's Moscone Center, Jobs unveiled the original iPhone to the public. The iPhone's screen was 3.5

inches diagonally and had a multi-touch interface with few buttons. It was preloaded with the touch-friendly iPhone OS operating system, which Apple eventually marketed as a fork of Mac OS X. On June 29, 2007, it was released in the United States for an initial $499 with a two-year contract from AT&T. On January 9th, 2007, at Jobs' keynote address at Macworld, the iPhone was first shown to the public. He spoke for over an hour on the benefits of everything from touch interfaces to a life-size replica of The New York Times website for desktop use with full panning and zooming capabilities. He even called (how charming!) and placed what must be the biggest Starbucks order in history to a genuine barista at a real Starbucks. The entire event is a fantastic piece of tech history, and you can still see it (on your phone) on YouTube. Unfortunately, the phone wasn't released until six months after the first announcement, when Apple desperately tried to transform Jobs' demo into a mass-market device. People queued outside businesses to buy one when it eventually arrived in June. Apple sold 270,000 iPhones in the first weekend, 1 million by Labor Day, and rapidly captivated the imagination of phone users worldwide. The iPhone 3G, which debuted a year later, may have been even more successful. Apple's 2008 iPhone had 3G network connectivity, allowing quicker access to email and online pages and reduced pricing. Most importantly, it introduced the App Store, which enabled developers to create and sell apps to millions of smartphone users. The App Store, more than the phone itself, will almost definitely be remembered as Apple's most significant contribution to the tech sector and society. Developers quickly began creating applications and games that altered how we connect, work, eat, and play. Apps such as Instagram, Uber, and Tinder became possible because of the App Store, which turned the iPhone into the pocket computer

it's always meant to be. From then, the tale of the iPhone is one of development rather than revolution. Each year, Apple increased the size and speed of the phone, perfecting the device without changing the core form factor or its most popular features. It grew in popularity with each passing year. The camera on the iPhone 4, with its front-facing camera and highdefinition video recording, was the most innovative thing to happen to cameras since the invention of Kodak. Since then, Apple's cameras have consistently been among the finest in their class.

iPhone Models iPhone 3G, 3GS On June 9, 2008, Apple announced the second-generation iPhone with iPhone operating system (OS) 2.0. The iPhone 3G comes in 8 GB and 16 GB capacities. The iPhone OS 2.0 upgrade featured various businessoriented features, such as compatibility with Microsoft Exchange email. Secure access to business networks using Cisco's IPSec virtual private network, remote wipe, and other management capabilities were among the enhanced mobile security features. In addition, in 2008, Apple launched a software development kit (SDK) for custom apps, a setup utility for centralized administration, and, most notably, the App Store, a gateway via which iPhone owners could purchase and download new programs to run on their handsets. The iPhone 3G ditched the first-generation iPhone's flat metal shell in favor of a sleek, convex black or white plastic cover. The use of plastic improved transmission for the device's many radio receivers. The iPhone 3G also included aided GPS, which coupled cellular tower triangulation with a GPS receiver. However, it lacked support for Flash, Java, and Multimedia Messaging Services (MMS). Its built-in Bluetooth only enabled wireless earpieces and did not support stereo audio, laptop tethering, or File Transfer Protocol. The iPhone 3GS, available in 16 GB

and 32 GB variants, had a video camera, a built-in compass, and higher download speeds thanks to 7.2 megabits per second (Mbps) HSDPA capability. That new operating system version included MMS, copy-andpaste, and the Find My iPhone app. Furthermore, it included an enhanced SDK that lets developers incorporate in-app purchase options, push alerts, and navigation capabilities into third-party apps.

iPhone 4 and 4S On June 7, 2010, Apple announced the iPhone 4. With this model, Apple also renamed its operating system from iPhone OS to iOS. The name was changed after the iPad's April 3, 2010, release, which utilized the same operating system. The iPhone 4's hardware advances included Apple's Retina Display, which had a greater pixel density than prior iPhone displays, and a front-facing camera. Apple also created variants with code division multiple access connections for the first time, allowing the device to connect to a larger range of cellular providers' networks. Apple introduced the iPhone 4S on October 4, 2011, along with Siri, a voicepowered digital assistant software. The smartphone was powered by Apple's new A5 processors and came with iOS 5, which included

iPhone 5, 5c and 5s The display of the iPhone 5, unveiled on September 12, 2012, is bigger than its predecessors, measuring 4 inches diagonally and featuring a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio and a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels. Apple's A6 processor powered this device. The new nano-SIM card and Lightning connector are not backward-compatible with older Apple devices. As the first smartphone, the iPhone 5 was also the first to support LTE networks and the 5 GHz 802.11ac Wi-Fi band. The device was stocked in 32 GB, 16 GB, and 64 GB variations. iOS 6, preinstalled on every iPhone 5, had a built-in Maps app and Passbook, a digital wallet that stores boarding passes, loyalty cards, and more. On September 20, 2013, Apple unveiled the iPhone 5s, which had a 64-bit, dual-core A7 processor driven. In addition, apple included the M7 coprocessor, which processed data from the phone's motion sensors (gyroscope, compass, and accelerometer). The iPhone 5 and iPhone 5s shared an identical 3.9-ounce weight, the same (4.9 x 2.3 x 0.3) inch proportions, and aluminum frames with rounded corners. The camera of the iPhone 5s has a new lens with an F2.2 aperture. More advanced camera features include slow-motion recording and a live video zoom. One of the most noteworthy changes with the iPhone 5s was the addition of Touch ID, a biometric fingerprint scanner that can be used to unlock the phone, and iTunes. The iPhone 5c debuted on the same day as the iPhone 5s and was available in five colors: pink, yellow, white, blue, and green. It was the same dimensions as the iPhone 5s, measuring 4.9 x 2.3 x 0.3 inches and weighing 4.6 ounces. The iPhone 5c, unlike the iPhone 5s, did not use the A7 CPU; instead, it used the A6 processor from the iPhone 5. It also lacked the metal frame seen on the iPhone 5s; instead, the iPhone 5c was built of hard-coated polycarbonate with a steel-reinforced inside.

iPhone 6 and 6 Plus - 6s and 6s Plus

The iPhone 6's screen was 4.7 inches diagonally and featured a resolution of 1334 x 750 pixels, while the 5.5-inch screen of the iPhone 6 Plus had a higher resolution of 1920 x 1080. Each device was the first to have Apple Pay, the company's mobile payment service, and was powered by Apple's A8 central processing unit and M8 motion coprocessor. iOS 8, preloaded on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, included a reworked user interface and Apple's iCloud Drive, cloud storage, and syncing service. On September 25, 2015, Apple introduced iOS 9 alongside the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. The new gadgets were powered by Apple's A9 CPU and M9 coprocessor. They also incorporated 3D Touch, which allowed users to execute various operations by tapping the screen with varying degrees of force.

iPhone SE first generation The iPhone SE, a more compact version of the iPhone 6s, was released by Apple on March 21, 2016. Although it featured a smaller screen size, the original iPhone SE used the same A9 and M9 processors as the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. In addition, it came in two storage sizes (16 GB and 64 GB) and four colors (space gray, gold, silver, and rose gold).

iPhone 7 and 7 Plus Water and dust resistance was introduced with the release of the iPhone on September 7, 2016. The devices included Apple's new four-core A10 Fusion processor, 128 GB, 32 GB, and 256 GB of storage space. Further, Apple made a major design change with iPhone by removing the headphone jack, leaving users with the option of wireless headphones or an adapter for the iPhone's Lightning connector. In addition, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus came with iOS 10, which added Siri interaction with third-party apps and improved 3D Touch capabilities.

iPhone 8 and 8 Plus

Apple updated the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus with a new metal and glass design, a six-core A11 Bionic CPU, and wireless charging. The gadgets, unveiled on September 22, 2017, also included new cameras designed specifically for augmented reality use cases. In addition, both devices were available in 256 GB and 64 GB.

iPhone X, XR, and XS/XS Max In September 2017, Apple also unveiled the iPhone X. For the first time, the iPhone X does away with the physical Home button seen on every other iPhone model. Instead, users interact with the device entirely through its screen. The iPhone X is the largest iPhone to date, with its all-glass design and 5.8-inch super Retina HD display. Face ID, a new method of verifying user access using face recognition technology, was also introduced with the gadget. The iPhone X was available in two storage sizes: 64 GB and 256 GB. Apple released three new iPhone X models in September 2018. The iPhone XR was a lower-priced variant of the flagship phone with a bigger 6.1-inch display. However, the display technology employed a lower resolution, Liquid Retina HD display that utilized LCD rather than the light-emitting diode, or OLED, Super Retina HD displays seen in the iPhone X and XS/XS Max screens. In addition, the XR utilized an improved A12 Bionic chip and had a longer battery life than any other X model. As a result, you may get an XR with either 64 or 128 gigabytes of storage. The XS Max is functionally identical to the XS, but for its larger 6.5-inch screen.

iPhone 11, 11-Pro, and 11 Pro Max The iPhone 11 Pro, 11, and 11 Pro Max, released on September 20, 2019, are the successors of the iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max, respectively. Incorporating a Wi-Fi 6 wireless chip for better speeds utilizing the IEEE 802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 standard is a significant upgrade to the iPhone 11 series of devices. Another benefit is the addition of a 12-megapixel TrueDepth front camera. The iPhone 11 retained the somewhat lower quality 6.1-inch LCD from the iPhone XR. However, many improvements were made to the iPhone 11 over the XR, including an enhanced A13 Bionic engine, a rear

camera with 2x optical zoom and Apple ultra-wide lens, improved water resistance, longer battery life, and a 256 GB storage capacity option. The iPhone 11 Pro also outperforms the iPhone XS in terms of performance. Perhaps the most well-known is the three-lens rear-facing camera, which Apple introduced in iPhones. Other improvements over the XS model include an enhanced A13 Bionic chip, Super Retina XDR display, ultrawide-angle picture capabilities with up to 4x optical zoom, four extra hours of battery life, and better water resistance up to 4 meters for 30 minutes. Finally, the iPhone 11 Pro Max is an iPhone 11 Pro with a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display rather than a 5.8-inch Super Retina XDR display. Because of its bigger size, the iPhone 11 Pro Second generation iPhone SE. Apple controlled the high-end smartphone industry from the late 2010s through 2020, but it began to lose ground to competitors in the mid- to lowend pricing range. In response, Apple will release a second-generation iPhone SE with updated internals on April 15, 2020. The second-generation SE has a 4.7-inch Retina HD display, an A13 Bionic processor, and storage capacities of 128 GB, 64 GB, or 256 GB. In addition, after the introduction of Face ID identification in the iPhone X and all the following models up until the SE second generation, the physical home button with touch ID login capability was returned in the SE second generation. Thus, this revised SE offered plenty of capability in a lower-cost model and appealed to iPhone consumers who liked the traditional Home button over the alltouch option that all previous iPhones progressed toward. However, one drawback concerning the iPhone SE is that it did not come with a 5G chipset to connect to cellular operators commercially deploying 5G.

iPhone 12, 12-Pro, 12 Pro Max, and 12 mini

There are four various iPhone 12 models to choose from. The iPhone 12 variants have the A14 Bionic CPU, Dolby Vision HDR video recording, Super Retina XDR displays, water resistance up to 6 meters for 35 minutes, and 5G mobile broadband chipsets. The basic iPhone 12 model was released on October 23, 2020, and included a 6.1-inch display, a 17-hour battery, an enhanced Ceramic Shield exterior, and storage capacity options of 128 GB, 64 GB, or 256 GB. The iPhone 12 Pro is comparable to the standard iPhone 12, except it has improved rear-facing camera hardware and features that generate better photographs. The iPhone 12 Pro has a three-lens camera with wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto lenses. Apple also included a lidar scanning sensor in the 12 Pro model. LiDAR scanning technology captures nighttime images, providing better focus in low-light circumstances. In addition, the 12 Pro variants include storage options of 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. The 12 Pro Max is comparable to the 12 Pro but with several significant enhancements. For instance, the 12 Pro's screen size increased to 6.1 inches in the 12 Pro Max. As a bonus, the camera lens on the 12 Pro Max can optically zoom up to five times, whereas the lens on the 12 Pro can only do so at a maximum of four times. In addition, due to the bigger display, Apple was able to raise the battery capacity of the 12 Pro Max from 17 to 20 hours. The iPhone 12 tiny has the same features as the other iPhone 12 models but is smaller.

iPhone 13, 13-Mini, 13 Pro, and 13 Pro Max All iPhone 13 versions have Apple's A15 Bionic technology, a six-core CPU. They also have a 5G chipset and can connect to Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.0. All iPhone 13 versions come with 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB of storage. The iPhone 13 Pro Max also has the highest storage

capacity offered by Apple, topping out at 1 TB. All iPhone models have upgraded cameras, with additional features varying by model. All models, however, contain support for a new cinematic mode that automatically switches focus as a person enters the field of vision. The iPhone 13 mini sports a 5.4-inch screen and a battery life of up to 17 hours. The base and mini sport the same two-camera system and a Super Retina XDR display. Both have twin 12MP lenses with wide and ultra-wide coverage. In addition, the twin camera system has a 2x optical and 5x digital zoom. The iPhone 13 pro versions with pro features centered on camera hardware improvements are a step up from the basic and small models. The iPhone 13 Pro features a 6.1-inch display, while the iPhone Pro Max has a slightly larger 6.7-inch display. Both pro versions employ the Super Retina XDR with ProMotion display, which provides quicker screen refresh rates than the base models. The iPhone Pro's distinguishing feature uses a threecamera system with telephoto, wide, and ultra-wide capabilities. The pro camera system also features a greater optical zoom range than the entrylevel versions, measuring 6x and a digital zoom of 15x.

iPhone 14, 14-plus, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max On September 7, 2022, Apple revealed the iPhone 14 range, with the phones on sale on September 16. Apple has four versions this year: the iPhone 14, 14 Plus, and 14 Pro Max. This version will not include a tiny model. All iPhone 14 versions include storage capacities of 128 GB, 512 GB, 256 GB, and 1 TB. Only the 13 Pro Max has a 1 TB storage option with the iPhone 13. Apple's A15 Bionic chip powers the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, while the A16 Bionic chip powers the 14 Pro and Max. Both processors have a six-core CPU, a five-core GPU, and a 16-core neural engine. With the removal of the 5.4-inch small model, the iPhone 14 and 14

Max now have 6.1-inch displays. The 14 Plus and 14 Max Pro have a screen size of 6.7 inches. Apple's Super Retina XDR display is available on all iPhone 14 models. Apple includes an always-on display feature in the Pro versions that is not available in the lower devices. A new low-power option introduced on the iPhone 14 Pro models enables the always-on display. All iPhone 14 models' cameras and picture processing have also been upgraded over previous versions. The 14 and 14 Plus cameras are upgraded to 12MP, while the 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max cameras are upgraded to 48MP. Apple has also incorporated a new Action Mode for video, which offers greater stabilization capabilities and is compatible with all iPhone 14 models. Also worth noting is that all iPhone 14 versions include a new accelerometer that Apple claims is better at detecting collisions and mishaps. There are three parts to this book. There are three levels: basic, intermediate, and advanced. This book is also appropriate for all readers, from beginners to specialists. This is a simple and comprehensive handbook for every iPhone user.

CHAPTER 3 - BASIC TERMINOLOGY Apple's latest high-end phones include significant new features, tweaks, and design updates, making them an appealing option for customers still using earlier versions. However, if you're getting a new iPhone 14 Pro tomorrow, you might feel a little overwhelmed or curious about what new features and adjustments you should test. To assist, we've listed the top features of the iPhone 14 Pro that you should look forward to utilizing below.

Dynamic Island

On the iPhone 14 Pro, Dynamic Island is an altogether new way to engage with your iPhone. Apple has replaced the notch at the top of the display with a new pill-shaped section made up of two smaller cuts digitally combined. Instead of leaving the top of the display idle and inconvenient, Apple created Dynamic Island, which delivers system-wide alerts, notifications, and system-related actions to the top of the display. You'll see

Dynamic Island adapting to your phone's use, from listening to music to initiating a timer. Here's a short rundown of the many sorts of system alerts and notifications that Dynamic Island offers right out of the box: Incoming call banner Face ID authentication Apple Pay AirDrop Charging AirPods connected alert Low battery alert Live Activities Ongoing call Music/Now playing apps Apple has instead downsized the circuitry and moved the proximity sensor to the back of the screen, resulting in a smaller pill-shaped notch. We've known for the rumor cycle that the new cutout features a circular camera cutout and a separate pill-shaped TrueDepth technology cutout. Apple has still incorporated them into a single opening, and that opening is dubbed Dynamic Island. We delved further into Apple's cutting-edge UI redesign, Dynamic Island. The Dynamic Island isn't just a cutout that stays the same size and shape; it can adapt to its surroundings to better integrate with the user interface and provide interesting new visual elements for the iPhone's screen. Apple uses pixels to enlarge the pill-shaped cutout so that it may be used for various purposes. If you're making an Apple Pay purchase, for instance, the Dynamic Island will enlarge into a square shape to coordinate with the Face ID confirmation screen, and if you're talking on the phone, it will enlarge to

bring the phone's buttons into better view. Essentially, Dynamic Island may store ongoing background activities that you may need to return to while doing other things on your phone. So yes, we have Apple's demonstrations to rely on, but Dynamic Island appears capable of displaying a wide range of data. We've compiled a list of how it's been utilized thus far. Expanded into a wide rectangle to display forthcoming Maps routes without opening the Maps app. Apple Pay payment confirmation is in the shape of a square. Displaying a music waveform and the time left on a currently playing song. Tracking the arrival time of a Lyft. Visual cues alert users to the use of a microphone or camera. The time spent on the call is indicated in a mini-bar with a phone symbol. A timer is displayed. Keeping track of sporting results. Getting to music controls and a music player AirPods connection status and battery life are displayed. iPhone charging status and battery life are displayed. Dynamic Island can display notifications or information that you are actively following. It will operate with the Live Activities feature in iOS 16, allowing you to follow sports scores, Uber journeys, and other activities straight from the top of the iPhone's display. It's worth mentioning that Dynamic Island works without interfering with what you're doing in the program when Dynamic Island is in this mode. So, while reading Twitter, you can also manage your music via Dynamic Island with a single swipe.

Because the TrueDepth camera system is contained in two independent cutouts that are blended via software, the Dynamic Island may split into a small pill on the left and a circle on the right, each of which can show various information at the same time, such as music controls and a timer. While you tap the Dynamic Island, it expands to become larger so you may engage with the material that it is now giving, and when you're in an app, you can swipe up to send the app's content to the Dynamic Island so you can return to the Home screen. In addition, apple is enabling third-party app developers to incorporate their applications into Dynamic Island, allowing you to access third-party and Apple-owned app content. Flighty, for example, can display your flight details on Dynamic Island with a single tap.

Promotion Display ProMotion is a feature that Apple initially created for the iPad in 2017 and just recently added to the iPhone. Most displays offer up to 60Hz refresh rates, which means the screen is refreshed 60 times per second. The quicker rate of refreshes per second means that whether you're browsing through an app, your iPhone will seem faster and smoother, owing to the 120Hz refresh rate. But, of course, a greater refresh rate necessitates more power. Thankfully, in the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro, iOS automatically alters the display's refresh rate based on what you're doing. So, for example, as you begin scrolling, the display's refresh rate increases compared to a static image.

Always-On Display You'll get the first iPhone with an always-on display, regardless of which iPhone you upgrade. As the name implies, an always-on display constantly presents the information. The clock, wallpaper, and widgets from iOS 16's

Lock Screen are constantly on display, for instance, on the iPhone 14-Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. If you want to check the time from your Lock Screen widgets, this might save you the trouble of unlocking your iPhone and browsing into an app. Some users may find the always-on display even more helpful now that it supports Live Activities in iOS 16.1. The screen automatically dims, and the refresh rate drops to as low as 1Hz to conserve power. To conserve battery life, turn off the always-on screen by going to Settings > Display & Brightness. Currently, the always-on display cannot be customized.

The New Cameras The most obvious enhancement is a new 48MP Main camera that shoots much crisper and more detailed photographs. When using the ProRAW format, you'll be able to capture 48MP photos, a format devised by Apple that combines the iPhone's sophisticated photo processing with great detail

that enables fine-tuned editing. In addition, all cameras, including the selfie camera, have enhanced low-light performance, making nighttime photos crisper and brighter.

Enjoy Longer Battery Life Apple claims that its newest displays and the A16 Bionic chip are more power effective than previous generations, resulting in longer battery life. Yet, how long your iPhone's battery will last depends on your usage patterns. Earlier this week, a battery test was performed on the iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the results showed that it had a significantly longer runtime than the previous record holder, the iPhone 13 Pro Max. In addition, iOS 16, the latest version of iOS, is preinstalled on the iPhone 14 Pro. iOS 16 introduces several noteworthy new features, including a resizable Lock Screen, the ability to unsend and edit iMessages, enhanced Apple Maps, and more. With your brand-new iPhone 14 Pro, you'll learn about iOS 16 and everything it offers.

To do this, you must link up with satellites in orbit above you and have them transmit your location to rescue workers on the ground below. When you first connect, your iPhone will ask you a few questions about your health. Do you feel like you've lost your bearings? Hurt? How many people are there with you? This will ensure that when your iPhone needs help, it is connected to the appropriate support center. The service is not limited to use in an emergency setting. Use satellites to let your contacts know where you are when using Find My if you're somewhere without a mobile phone or internet service. There will be no cost for two years of satellite service when you purchase an iPhone 14 from Apple. It is not yet clear how much it will cost after that. Every new iPhone has a camera improvement. And, while the 8K recording quality claims were incorrect, the iPhone 14's cameras are still capable. The cameras on all iPhone 14 models are better at shooting in low light and capturing more brilliant colors. The front camera, in particular, is now gaining focusing, which means it will be better at snapping clear selfies even when the subjects are at various distances apart. In addition, apple is updating the Camera app with "Action Mode." Action Mode, designed for recordings with a lot of motion, will steady the camera to decrease shaking. The iPhone 14 Pro versions will also feature a new 2x zoom lens that can capture in 4K resolution. The primary camera boasts 48 megapixels, which is among the highest of any smartphone. In addition, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max receive new, always-on displays after years of requests. Depending on the image, you could even see your lock screen wallpaper. The always-on display accomplishes all this while utilizing far less battery power than if turned on. As a result, you can remain on top of things while extending your iPhone's life. Finally, the iPhone 14, like the new Apple

Watch Series 8, will feature a force sensor to detect whether you're in a vehicle accident. The sensor only detects when you come to an abrupt halt, the air pressure changes due to the airbag swelling, and there is a loud crashing noise. When identified, your iPhone will offer to call emergency services on your behalf; if you do not or cannot reply, it will do so automatically. Internal processors are being updated in all four iPhone versions. These are the main bits of hardware that manage your iPhone's most vital functions, making these latest models the quickest iPhones yet. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, like the iPhone 13, include an A15 Bionic processor. But the chip has been updated – Apple claims that the graphics part (the GPU) is 18% more powerful, and the CPU and neural processors are also improved. The real advancements are seen on the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. The Pro versions are powered by a new A16 Bionic processor, which is around 40% quicker than the A15. It also consumes less power than the A15, which reduces the pressure on the battery and other internal components. The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus still feature it; however, the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max have a pillshaped cutout called the "Dynamic Island" instead. The Dynamic Island is a stand-alone cutout that holds the selfie camera and Face ID sensor and is surrounded by active pixels. It's also responsive, expanding, and contracting, depending on whatever app you're using. Some applications, like Lyft and Apple Music, can display information within Dynamic Island while you are using other apps. Others can utilize Dynamic Island to give more subtle messages.

CHAPTER 4 - INITIAL BASIC SETTINGS To turn on iPhone, press the side button. To switch off iPhone, press the side button (together with either volume button on some models) or go to Settings. If your iPhone isn't operating properly, try restarting it by turning it off and back on. If turning it off and on doesn't solve the problem, force it to restart. You must press and hold the side button to see the Apple logo. To disable Face ID on an iPhone, press and hold the side button in addition to either volume button again until the slider appears on the screen, and then slide the Power Off button. To use the iPhone's Home button, press and hold the side button, and then move the button up.

All models: Go to Settings -> General -> Shut Down, then drag the slider.

Set Up Your New iPhone

First and foremost, upgrade your old iPhone to the most recent version possible (currently iOS 15.7 for most phones) to guarantee that everything functions properly throughout the data transfer. The initial version of iPhone 16, which comes pre-installed on the iPhone 14, has been described as "extremely" problematic, notably in Messages and FaceTime, as Apple readily admits. However, don't worry if you've upgraded your old phone to iOS 16. Many iOS 16 users, like Techlicious Editor-in-Chief Suzanne Kantra, had no trouble transferring their data to an iPhone 14. If your new iPhone 14 is requested to update to iOS 16.0.1, do so. Don't be concerned if you are not prompted. After the setup procedure, you may upgrade to the newest iOS 16. Back up your current iPhone after updating it to the latest version of iOS. You'll need to create a new backup to set up your new device. You may back up the information, data, and passwords on your current iPhone to iCloud or your computer. To back up your current iPhone, open Settings and choose your Apple ID name > iCloud > iCloud Backup > Back Up Now. A timer and an estimated remaining time will be displayed. To create a backup of your current iPhone, you may connect it to your computer via Lightning to a USB cable. A new window will pop up

when you double-click the iPhone icon in Finder on a Mac or click the iPhone symbol in iTunes on a Windows PC. You wish to manually backup your iPhone. Click "Back up all of your iPhone's data to this..." PC or Mac? Choose whether or not to encrypt your backup. Apple cautions you if you do not encrypt your backup. "Backups will not include sensitive data if you do not use encryption. When you restore a device from a backup, you will lose your stored passwords, Health, and HomeKit data." If you haven't previously, you'll be requested to generate a password for this encrypted backup. After entering your PIN on your iPhone, tap "Back Up Now." After backing up your soon-to-be-ex iPhone, you're ready to set up your new iPhone 14. Start up your brand-new iPhone 14 (it should already be charged, but just in case, plug it in) and answer the device's introductory questions about your location and language. To activate your new iPhone and get started with the iPhone-toiPhone transfer process, select Quick Start. Simply placing the side of the new and old iPhone side will do the trick. When you pull out your brandnew iPhone 14, you'll see a cloud with a tealish hue. Then, a camera interface will pop up on your dated iPhone. When you're ready to begin transmitting data, you must position the old iPhone's camera over the teal cloud on your new iPhone 14. Assuming you wish to keep the same phone number while switching to the new iPhone 14, you'll be asked if you want to do so when the device arrives. In the iPhone 14, the physical SIM card the size of your pinky nail and its accompanying SIM card tray has been replaced by a digital electronic SIM or eSIM. So, select Transfer from Another iPhone. For whatever reason, it took a couple of tries for me, but my number was eventually transferred successfully. If you own a Mac, you may expect alerts informing you of FaceTime and Message updates and choices to enable WiFi calling. Then you'll be asked

to Transfer Your Data. You can transfer from your iCloud backup or your local PC backup. On the other hand, a USB cable transfer from your Mac or PC might take several hours or more. As a result, I recommend transferring from iCloud. Then, you'll be asked whether you want to Make This iPhone Your New One and given a chance to select which of your existing contacts, photos, and other information you want to bring over. Finally, if you wish to clone your old iPhone onto your new iPhone 14, you will press the "Continue" button.

Once your previous iPhone's contents have been successfully migrated via iCloud, your phone number and financial information must be transferred. Then, you will have to enter the security codes associated with those accounts to link your existing Apple Wallet and Apple Cash accounts to your new iPhone. You'll also be prompted to enable Emergency SOS on

your brand-new iPhone; this feature, along with the iPhone 14's new Emergency SOS via Satellite, rolls out in the fall. You'll also be asked to generate a new FaceID, for which numerous options now exist: without Covid mask, with a mask, with or without spectacles. You may also add "alternative" faces - a loved one sporting a different hat or hairstyle, etc. - which you can skip for now and put up when your iPhone 14 is ready. Transferring your authenticator account to the new iPhone is significantly easier if you have access to your previous iPhone. I like to keep my old phone operational (although now only on WiFi) until I'm confident that everything is working well with my new iPhone. When your iPhone 14 resumes, and while you're configuring your financial information and FaceID, your new iPhone 14 begins downloading everything you had saved on your old iPhone - applications, photographs, movies, music, and so on. The 15-minute iCloud data transfer informed your new iPhone 14 of what was on your old iPhone. This information is now being downloaded to your new iPhone. This data transfer procedure might take an hour or more, depending on how much real data you had stored on your previous iPhone. You can view how much data remains to be downloaded to your new iPhone

by

going

to

Settings.

However,

this

combined

iCloud

transfer/download procedure is still faster than the wired PC-to-iPhone 14 transfer, which would prevent you from using your new iPhone. So, while this download takes place, you may utilize your new smartphone. However, we urge that you wait.

As previously stated, the original release of iOS 16 was found to be troublesome with Messages and FaceTime, prompting Apple to publish an iOS upgrade, iOS 16.0.1. So, install iOS 16.0.1 on your iPhone 14. Apple even includes a reminder in the main Settings menu. Even after all this moving, you may discover that passwords for certain applications, emails, and other online accounts and subscriptions did not move. You will need to enter them manually. If you own an Apple Watch, you will be requested to connect it to your new iPhone. Because your new iPhone 14 was cloned from your current iPhone, it will have the same name as your old one. To

change the name on your new iPhone, head to Settings > General > About > Name. If you utilize the name of your iPhone in your email answers, make sure to alter your email Signatures by navigating to Settings > Mail > Signature. You may now enjoy your iPhone 14 and iOS 16.

First, press the Download Any Purchased Tones button under Store, then follow the onscreen directions to complete downloading all ringtones and alerts you've purchased using your iTunes or Apple account.

When the ringtone is played or ringing, the iPhone vibrates by default. If you do not want your smartphone to function in this manner, you may easily change its vibration settings. Returning to the main Ringtone menu, you'll notice that Vibration is the first choice. Press it to open the Vibration settings menu, then choose None from the list of alternatives. When the ringtone is playing, your iPhone will cease vibrating. Return to the Ringtone menu and change the current selection to any available vibration alternatives to return to the original setting.

Organize The Home Screen There are new methods to search and organize apps on your iPhone with iOS 14 and later. Learn how to manage your Home Screen and use the App Library. To copy a math result, touch and hold it in the display, press Copy, and then paste it someplace else, such as a note or message. Next, remove the last digit: If you make a mistake entering a number, swipe left or right on the top display. Next, clear the screen: Tap the Clear (C) key to remove the most recent entry or the All Clear (AC) key to remove all entries.

CHAPTER 5 - CALLS AND MESSAGES Send And Receive Messages On iPhone Send and receive text messages, images, videos, and voice communications with the Messages app.

Enter each recipient's phone number, contact name, or Apple ID. Alternatively, touch the Add button and then choose contacts. If you have Dual SIM enabled on a compatible model and wish to send an SMS/MMS message from another line, press the line visible, then choose the other line.

Tap the text area, input your message, and then press the Send button. A blue send button indicates that the message will be delivered via iMessage; a green send button indicates that the message will be delivered via SMS/MMS or your cellular connection. If a message cannot be sent, an alert Alert badge shows. To send the message again, tap the alert. You may change the contact card, share your location, see attachments, quit a group chat, and more by tapping the contact.

When you get a message for the first time, a dialogue begins. If you've already communicated with that person in Messages, their message gets appended to the conclusion of the previous chat. Tap the discussion in which you wish to participate in the Messages list. Next, tap the search field above the Messages listings to seek contacts and material in chats. (The search field may need to be shown by swiping down.) The search area also displays suggested contacts, links, photographs, and other content. Then,

tap the text area and input your message. Tap the Next Keyboard, Emoji button, or Next Keyboard button, then tap each highlighted word to replace text with emoji. To send your message, use the Send button. To notify your receivers that you have read their messages, click on Settings > Messages and enable Send Read Receipts. Lens, shutter speed, file size, and other camera metadata The location of the photograph or video; To display the location in Maps, press the link; to adjust the location, tap Adjust.

Archive Photos On iPhone If you don't want to pay for an iCloud subscription membership, you may save your images on your iPhone and preserve phone storage by utilizing Google Photos. Google Photographs is the official app for Google's eponymous service, which allows you to save photos and videos in the cloud (specifically, in Google Drive) for free and with no capacity limitations. The sole restriction is that the maximum resolution of the content stored by the service cannot exceed 16MP for photos and 1080p for movies. Another restriction of Google Photos, at least for the iPhone and iPad, is the ability to make an automated backup of the Camera Roll material. Because of iOS constraints, Google Photographs cannot run in the background continuously: once launched, the program, if not in the forefront, shuts immediately by the operating system (to preserve power and avoid system slowdowns), and the backup of photos and videos ends. A cellular network icon shows in the status bar if your iPhone is connected to the internet through the cellular data network. On GSM cellular networks, 5G, LTE, 4G, and 3G services offer simultaneous voice and data connections. You can't utilize internet services while chatting on the phone with any other cellular connection unless your iPhone also has a Wi-Fi connection to the internet. Depending on your network connection, you may be unable to accept calls when your iPhone transfers data over the cellular network, such as when downloading a webpage. 1)

GSM networks: During data transfers via an EDGE or GPRS connection, incoming calls may be sent directly to voicemail. Therefore, data transfers are halted when you answer an incoming call. 2) CDMA networks: Data transfers are halted when you answer an incoming call on an EV-DO connection. During data transfers, inbound calls on 1xRTT connections may go directly to voicemail. Data transfers are halted when you answer an incoming call. CHAPTER 10 - HEALTH APP Apple's Health app can assist you in gaining control of your health. Here's how to keep track of, organize, and learn more about your health information. The iPhone's Health app is one of iOS's most sophisticated and important built-in applications, and it is a mainstay for some but rarely used by others. The app includes an easy-to-use UI and many wonderful features to help you track and monitor your health data and everyday activity.

The Main Sections Of The Health App Before we get into the specifics, let's look at the app's interface and options. The app is now divided into three sections: Summary, Sharing, and Browse. The Summary area summarizes your sleep, steps, and other comparable items being tracked. Highlights, broad trends, and full graphs are all at your fingertips. You may also set up your Medical ID and enable alerts here. Moving on to Sharing, this area allows you to share your health data captured on the app with someone else to keep your family and friends informed of your progress. Finally, the Browse area displays several Health

Categories, such as Hearing, Heart, and Body Measurements, for you to analyze all added data. You may also search for symptoms of other problems and enter your Vitals.

You'll discover useful information and articles on every health parameter across the app, whether it's a symptom, sickness, or typical behavioral trend. You may educIn addition, you on this sym So let's dive into the nittygritty of making the most of the app now that you know its fundamental functions and where to locate them.

What Can You Track With The Health App? While several functions are available, some are more often utilized than others. You can find a thorough list of everything that Apple's Health App allows you to track in the Browse section. Explore the primary health measures you should pay attention to for a crash lesson on what's most essential. The Activity area contains data about your physical activity, such as steps taken, walking distance, flights climbed, and more. This is one of the Health app's most popular features since it automatically records and

keeps all information you can view. Do you want to check if this behavior is causing any changes? In the app, you may track physical metrics such as waist circumference, body fat percentage, and weight.

You may also track several body metrics, such as your heart, respiration, and hearing. Other metrics, such as blood pressure and oxygen levels, monitor values that are more particular to certain persons than others. You may start tracking your sleep and diet in their categories to enhance your lifestyle. Setting up sleep-tracking features is simple, and you can even create sleep objectives. Meanwhile, the Nutrition area allows you to track every nutrient available, including cholesterol, iron, fiber, and protein. In addition, body temperature, menstruation, heart rate, and other data may be found under the Vitals section.

Add Health Data To The App You've got a basic layout and know what to track. How can you add data and start tracking these critical data points? The iPhone's Health app

automatically captures data from your device's sensors and other devices for various functions, such as steps taken, sleep, and headphone audio levels. You do not need to enable toggles or input values to do this. Launch the app, and you'll see all of the data that has been uploaded and updated, available for you to access at any moment. However, you may improve the accuracy of these measures by recording them with a wearable device, such as an Apple Watch. For example, configure Apple Watch sleep monitoring to receive the complete sleep data every morning. Other Health app features need manual entry. Because the iPhone lacks a mechanism to record your blood pressure, blood oxygen levels, cholesterol levels, and other features, you'll have to measure and enter them manually. First, tap on the category to which you wish to contribute data. You may find it under the Browse section. Then, in the upper right corner, click Add Data. When you press Add or Done, a plotted point will show on the tracker.

View And Use Tracked Data

Now that you've included all of the necessary data, make it more simply available so that you can make excellent use of it. If you often utilize a certain data point, you may have it show on your Summary page by following these steps: Navigate to the Summary section. In the Favorites row, click Edit. On the Summary page, mark the feature you want to see. Click Done.

On the Summary page, select Show All Health Data to see all monitored data in one location. Everything that has been automatically or manually added may be found here. The Highlights area on the Summary page will show you complete trends produced with additional data, allowing you to understand how you go over weeks and months and make necessary lifestyle modifications. Show All

Highlights will allow you to see all data-driven trends. Enabling trend notifications will notify you if you vary from your average trend or if a specific metric falls or rises significantly. You may enable or disable this feature by touching your profile image on the Summary or Browse page and then Notifications. You may manage notifications for trends, new health records, and walking steadiness from there.

Set Up A Medical Id Navigate to the Summary page. Tap your symbol in the upper right corner, then choose Medical ID. To add or edit information, select Edit. To be automatically notified, provide all relevant information, including emergency contacts. Make sure to turn on Show When Locked so emergency responders may see your Medical ID even if your iPhone is locked.

CHAPTER 11 - EMERGENCY CALLS AND ALERT Emergency SOS On Your iPhone With Emergency SOS, you may quickly and conveniently call for help and inform your emergency contacts. When you call SOS, your iPhone immediately phones the local emergency number. You might need to pick the required service in some nations and areas. In China's mainland, for example, you can select from police, fire, or ambulance. You can also provide emergency contact information. When an emergency call concludes, your iPhone automatically sends a text message to the people you designated emergency contacts unless you disable the feature. When you enable SOS mode on your iPhone, it notifies your emergency contacts of your current location and sends them updates whenever your location changes.

Call Emergency Services Hold down the side and volume buttons until the Emergency SOS slider displays. To contact emergency services, move the Emergency Call slider. If you keep holding down the side and volume buttons while sliding the slider, a timer will start, and an alert will sound. You may activate your iPhone's emergency call system by holding down the buttons until the timer expires. Unless you cancel, your iPhone sends a text message with your present position to your emergency contacts when the connection expires. In the event that Location Services is disabled, it will be reactivated momentarily. If your location changes, your contacts will be notified, and you will be notified roughly 10 minutes later. When a catastrophic automobile collision is detected, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro models can summon emergency services and send a message to your emergency contacts.

End A Call You can cancel the countdown if you start it by accident. Press the Stop button on an iPhone 7 or before, then tap Stop Calling. If you phone emergency services by accident, you can stop the call. Tap the End Call button (the red end call icon) and confirm that you wish to end the call.

Change How You Call Your iPhone 8 or later can immediately contact emergency services. When you enable Call with Hold or Call with 5 Presses and attempt to make an emergency call, your iPhone starts a countdown and sounds a warning. When the countdown expires, your iPhone contacts emergency services. To enable these options, follow these steps: Get the iPhone's settings up and running. Select the "SOS" button in case of an emergency. Make a call by pressing and holding the button for 5 seconds or by pressing the button 5 times.

You may still utilize the Emergency SOS slider if you disable Call with Hold or 5 Presses.

CHAPTER 12 - HOW TO USE SIRI Siri On iPhone Use your voice to do daily activities. For example, Siri may translate a word, set an alarm, discover a location, check the weather, and much more. Voice input is processed on iPhone on compatible devices, but transcripts of your requests are forwarded to Apple to enhance Siri. This information is not linked to your Apple ID and will only be kept for a limited period. You may also choose to enhance Siri and Dictation. If you opt-in, Apple will use the audio from your interactions with Siri, Dictation, and Translate to help develop and improve Dictation, Siri, and other language processing capabilities like Translate or Voice Control.

Set Up Siri You can turn on Siri under Settings > Siri and Search if you didn't do so when you initially acquired your iPhone. If you want to use your voice to activate Siri, you'll need to toggle on Listen for "Hey Siri." Turn on Press Side Button for Siri or Press Home for Siri if you wish to activate Siri using a button. Adjust Siri settings on iPhone to change more Siri settings.

CHAPTER 15- APPLE AND GOOGLE MAPS Apple Map Apple Maps is Apple's rival to Google Maps, and it can perform a few things that Google Maps cannot. First, it's built into iOS, making it easy to use alongside other apps and for navigation on your iPhone or iPad. If your vehicle has a CarPlay display, you can connect your iPhone and utilize Maps to navigate on the built-in display. Change the position of the map. There are numerous methods to adjust the map's perspective and navigate to different areas. These tasks are carried out simply by manipulating the map with your fingers. Drag the map with one finger to move it. By doubletapping a location, you may zoom in on it. Place two fingers on the map to rotate it. To rotate the map, rotate your wrist while maintaining your fingers the same distance apart. You may zoom in and out simultaneously by sliding your fingers closer or further apart. Place two fingers on the map to tilt it. To tilt the map, move them both up at the same time. Then, move them down to tilt the map the opposite way. Exact addresses, cross streets, companies, towns and cities, states and nations, and other information may be entered. The map will center on the spot, and a pin will be dropped to indicate its exact location. If your search includes numerous places, such as a chain restaurant, all neighboring locations will be displayed with pins. The "active" pin will be closest to your present location. Tap on the pins to pick different places.

If many addresses fit your search criteria, you can select the one you want. Each result will be provided with further details. When you tap the search bar, a list of recent searches appears. If you're unsure how to spell an address or business name, provide your best guess. Maps will most likely figure out what you meant. Insert a pin. You may add pins to any location on the map in addition to searching for them. If the place does not appear on the map, you can quickly visit it. Insert a pin by pushing and holding your finger at the desired spot.

Make a journey. To make a new journey, tap the Arrow button (iPhone) or the "Directions" button (iPad) at the top of the screen. You can specify addresses in the Start and End fields or leave the Start area blank. If you've inserted a pin, the Endpoint will be that pin. You can change your method of transportation by clicking on one of the top icons. You will be prompted to download a third-party transit app from the App Store by selecting the Transit symbol. You may change your Start and End points by touching the curved arrow adjacent to the text boxes. To examine the journey from the Start to the Endpoint, tap "Route."

Choose your destination with a pin. You may set a destination from any pin on the map, whether it's a search result or one you've put yourself. A bubble will form above the pin if you tap it. This bubble will contain the name or address, as well as a car icon and a time. Set the location as your destination by tapping the automobile symbol. Examine the path. When you select a destination, the map changes to display the route from your present position to your chosen destination. The route will be marked in the dark blue, with other routes highlighted in light blue. The estimated timings for each route will be presented both along the route and at the top of the Maps screen. If other routes employ a different mode of transportation, such as walking, the icon next to the route's time will appear. Examine the step-by-step guidelines. To see the whole list of turns from start to finish, tap the List button at the bottom of the screen. You can scroll down the list if there are too many turns to fit. Examine the traffic. Tap "Show Traffic" after clicking the I icon in the screen's bottomleft corner. Red dashed lines show heavy traffic, but a smaller dotted line denotes moderate traffic. If your route is congested, consider using one of the options suggested. Next, make use of the navigation mode. The navigation mode will commence when you hit "Start." The map will reorient itself to your present location, and the current instruction will appear at the top of the screen. Maps will cycle through the directions as you drive, or you can glide your finger through them to see how each turn appears. If you deviate from your intended path, Maps will attempt to compute a different route to your destination.

Follow these instructions if your Apple Watch is currently attached to your old iPhone and you wish to pair it with your new iPhone. First, back up the iPhone attached to your Apple Watch using iCloud Backup. Install your new iPhone. Choose to restore from an iCloud backup on the Apps & Data screen, then pick the most recent backup. CHAPTER 22 - USING SOCIAL Messenger First and foremost, Facebook Messenger (also known as Messenger) is an informative application and stage. Since its inception as Facebook Chat in 2008, the organization has expanded its informing administration, releasing independent iOS and mechanical man programs in August 2011 and separate Facebook Portal equipment for Messenger-based bringing in 2018. Clients may send messages, exchange images, recordings, stickers, music, and documents, react to messages from other clients and interact with bots. The government also supports voice and video calls. The standalone programs help with multiple records, talk with optional start-to-finish encryption, and play around. Facebook Facebook is most likely the finest Social Networking App in the world. It has almost 2.300 million users. Mark Zuckerberg invented the platform. It wasn't always called Facebook. It was originally titled "Hot or Not," but after receiving such a positive response, the entrepreneur decided to rename it "Social Media Networking Platform." Friends, family, and others are now utilizing Facebook to interact with one another. The globe is now connected to Facebook, where they exchange messages, images, videos, polls, and even play games. Many people use Facebook for business. Because it has many prospective audiences, it has evolved into a solid commercial platform. Marketers are likewise concentrating their efforts on Facebook. Marketers refer to this as Social Media Marketing or Facebook Marketing. Our iFixit bd is also promoted on Facebook. To reach you and demonstrate our activities and services. As a result, we have mentioned everything above.

WhatsApp WhatsApp Messenger is a Facebook platform. This is Facebook's crossplatform messaging and Voice Over IP service. WhatsApp users may send text messages, voice messages, and even make audio or video calls. In addition, images, documents, and other media can be shared.

Life360 Life360 also brings your family closer together by providing useful alternatives for protecting and connecting people who matter the most. Life360 also syncs your family into a private, invite-only Circle, making it easier to organize and manage at your speed. Location Sharing allows family members to see one other's current and past whereabouts. Be informed when your family enters and exits your most visited locations. Finally, get notifications whenever anyone's phone's battery is running low. Pinterest Pinterest is another social networking network that allows users to contribute images connected to projects, commodities, and services and visually find new interests by browsing images marked by others. Consider Pinterest a web-based pinboard or bulletin board with greater structural functionality. You may also think of it as a bookmarking tool. People typically pin or save images obtained on the internet to whole distinct boards (used to reason their image collections). Several of the images saved on Pinterest are clickable and open in a new tab to the original online material where they were discovered. Pinterest, for example, might be a very popular recipe tool. People will scroll through images of delectable-

looking cuisine, click on one that looks intelligent, and be led directly to the recipe directions. Instagram Instagram is also a platform for Facebook. In October 2010, iOS was released. Instagram is another excellent site for sharing photos and videos. You can instantaneously post your moment on Instagram and communicate on Instagram in our nation (Bangladesh). Instagram has become a popular photo-sharing website not just in our nation but across the world. Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger founded Instagram. I strongly advise you to utilize Instagram. It's an excellent platform. I also use Instagram daily. Twitter Twitter is yet another microblogging and social media site where users may send and receive messages known as "tweets." The platform is also the largest social media network. Many celebrities and public figures are also active on Twitter. And keep track of their activities. Google Duo Google Duo is another excellent video chat app that works on both iPhone and Android smartphones. Google introduced it in 2016, and it is one of the search company's multiple chats and video applications. The pair differs from previous and current Google video and chat applications (such as Hangouts and the now-defunct Allo) in that it is supposed to be a quick and straightforward one-to-one video chat app similar to Apple's FaceTime. In addition, because it is cross-platform, Android and iOS users may video chat. Snapchat

Snapchat does not require an introduction because it has quickly become a popular social media app. Application aimed towards the younger age. Users may shoot selfies with various stunning artificial intelligence (AI)based effects to make themselves appear cooler. Snapchat may also be used to talk with friends and make video calls. The platform's main goal is to share your memories with your friends as quickly as possible. As a result, they might become memories. LinkedIn Linkedin is another big Social Networking Platform for practically all Entrepreneurs/Businesses, and Professionals. The UI/UX is similar to Facebook; however, it is a Professional Network. If you are a professional looking for work or want to have an online presence, create a Linkedin profile. As a result, if you work in human resources, LinkedIn is ideal for you.

CHAPTER 23 - 10 TRICKS FOR ADVANCED USERS 1) Use shortcuts to create custom icons and more In the vast realm of smartphone user interfaces, iOS is not the most customized. However, it is becoming more configurable, much to the dismay of many enthusiasts. If you want a unique user interface, the Shortcuts app lets you effortlessly alter program icons on the iPhone home screen, create unique color combinations, and much more. Of course, you may use a third-party app for this. Still, the Shortcut tool provides various alternatives that adhere to Apple's stringent design requirements and can be used to automate iOS routines and other shortcuts. 2) Turn your iPhone keyboard into a trackpad Turning your iPhone keyboard into a touchpad is the most helpful iOS tip, and I like using it virtually every day. It's a fairly easy trick that most iOS users are unaware of, possibly even less so than the mechanism to lower the iPhone's flashlight. Press the space bar and wait for the letters to vanish to rapidly set the Apple standard keyboard cursor in a strategic spot. After that, you may move the cursor as you wish and edit text "like a pro" without taking your finger from the display! 3) Unlock shortcuts and other actions using the Back Tap feature This advice is as old as enabling Dark Mode on the iPhone, yet most people ignore it. Beyond snapping screenshots, the Back Tap function provides many capabilities and shortcut choices with two or three touches on the iPhone's back. The amazing thing about this functionality is that it works with iPhone models dating back to the iPhone 8. It also serves as a shortcut to essential system software, such as the camera and—in my case— Shazam. Follow these steps to enable the Back Tap function on your iPhone: Back Tap may be found under Settings > Accessibility > Touch.

Next, choose an action by tapping Double Tap or Triple Tap. Done! Double or triple-press the back of your iPhone to initiate the action.

4) How to enable Picture-in-Picture mode on YouTube Since iOS 15, Apple has included an enhanced option for viewing YouTube in a floating window. Picture-in-Picture (PiP) is a feature that allows you to shrink YouTube videos on the iPhone screen. However, a Premium membership to Google's streaming app is necessary to use YouTube's Picture-in-Picture mode on the iPhone. If you're like me, you have a YouTube Premium subscription. Before the function is available on your iPhone, you must join as a trial user. 5) Drag and drop photos and files between apps Although Apple's universal control has not yet come on the iPhone, you can still drag and drop messages, files, and photographs across apps on the system. This is not a widely used iOS function, yet it is an excellent multitasking tool. For example, see how easy it is to copy text from the notes app and paste it into the body of an email. However, the most intriguing element of this function appeared only with iOS 16 and the "lift topic from backdrop" option. We may isolate a certain object in an image using drag-and-drop, for example, by deleting the backdrop or text passages. 6) How to cast an iPhone on a TV The AirPlay function allows you to stream the content of your iPhone's screen to your television. This technology, like Miracast, allows you to mirror your iPhone screen on compatible TVs or devices connected to the Apple TV streaming device. To do so, go to the iPhone control panel and enable the AirPlay shortcut, then follow these steps: Launch Control Center. Next, select the Screen Mirroring icon. Next, choose your Apple TV, AirPlay 2-compatible smart TV, or Mac from the drop-down menu. (If an AirPlay passcode shows on your TV screen or Mac, input it on your iOS

device.) To stop mirroring on your iOS device, visit Control Center, select Screen Mirroring, and then select Stop Mirroring.

7) Get the best of Cinematic Mode and Photographic Styles Finally, beginning with the iPhone 13 series, Apple now includes Cinematic Mode and Photographic Styles. Because these functionalities are hardwaredependent, only iPhone 13 series users can fully utilize these functions. This unique post on Cinematic Mode hints at how the video function works and how to edit footage during and after filming. If you have a suitable device, you may learn how to shoot video with a blurred backdrop and modify the foreground item or person in a photo automatically. 8) Set up Apple Pay on your iPhone Setting up Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch will allow you to maximize the capabilities of your devices. Apple's contactless payment technology integrates with Apple Wallet and provides a variety of possibilities. Apple Wallet may be useful for everything from payment card integration to ID card storage. 9) Control Apple Music on a PC or Mac from your iPhone Apple has superb product integration, and while the iPhone is not among the devices that use the Universal Control function, you can control your Apple Music on your PC or Mac from your iPhone—and even from your iPad—via an app produced by Apple. This is a terrific suggestion for individuals who wish to change playlists or albums without getting up from the sofa! You can control Apple Music from your iPhone with the iTunes Remote app. The software is free on the Apple Store and provides many more options. 10) Add a sleep timer for all media and save your phone's battery This is because Apple includes a sleep timer with every media playback. The best feature is that you can use it for any app that plays media material

on your Apple device—for example, it may be set for children's watch time on iPads.

CHAPTER 24 - APPS FOR ADVANCED IPHONE USERS Google Maps Sure, you have "Maps," the official iPhone navigation app. However, if you want an app that delivers, Google Maps should be on your list. Unfortunately, none of us have the patience to cope with the navigational problems that maps have a history of causing. BillGuard This is why BillGuard is such an invaluable app for iPhone users. Though it performs some of the same duties as a big bank app (Bank of America is mine and works perfectly), BillGuard goes further by assisting you in managing your spending patterns. It's designed to inform you about unusual expenditures and invoices you'll need to pay later. It will even inform you of frequent costs for services you may no longer utilize.

Buffer Depending on their effectiveness, you may schedule Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google Plus updates. For example, do you want to tweet something when most of your followers are paying attention? Buffer measures this and gives time to it. You can also view the statistics for your postings to see how well they've fared. Dashlane Dashlane is a must-have app for everyone who buys stuff online. It preserves payment and confirmation information that might otherwise be lost in your email. It helps you track your online spending and makes it easy

to access your receipts (unless you've added items like tickets to your Passbook app). Dashlane is free, but the premium version is worth it if you spend a lot of time online.

Zillow I wish someone had properly prepared me for locating a place to reside. Real estate is, Unfortunately, a ruthless business, and; as a result, Zillow is a blessing. The software searches virtually every property and real estate in your neighborhood, from purchasing to renting. It then gives you the information you need to contact the property owner or leasing agency, and the straightforward design makes it all very easy. Fooducate Fooducate allows you to scan a product's barcode and display its "grade." The app's database ranks food products based on factors ranging from calories to contentious substances, providing a clear image of your purchase. Sleep Cycle Sleep Cycle functions as the ideal alarm clock. First, you choose a time frame rather than a specific moment to be awakened (Say, between 7:00 am and 8:00 am). You then lay down on your bed and go to sleep. The app tracks your sleep cycle, assessing how well you slept and when you fell asleep. It will then sound the alarm when you are ready to be awakened and not "groggy" or too exhausted to get out of bed. Dropbox Even though there are many excellent cloud services available, Dropbox remains a standout because of how effectively it performs on every major platform. As long as you have access to the internet, Dropbox lets you store and access your files from any computer, laptop, smartphone, or tablet. If you're more familiar with Google Drive, it's also a wonderful cloud service software.

Vine Vine is the one social networking app I can't stop recommending. Sure, Instagram and Pinterest are popular, but Vine gives quick fun that almost everyone can enjoy. Vine allows you to produce and browse 6-second videos in a newsfeed similar to Twitter. The joy of Vine is following excellent and amusing individuals, but the useful "re-vine" feature allows you to locate the greatest videos rapidly.

Duolingo Consider a world where language-learning apps as successful as Rosetta Stone are accessible for free on your iPhone. You don't have to conceive it because Duolingo already exists. So the founders of Duolingo set out to develop a premium-level language program that leverages free courses to turn you into an expert (insert awesome language here).

CHAPTER 25 - HOW TO SOLVE VARIOUS PROBLEMS When offering smooth and flawless performance, iPhones unquestionably outperform the competition. But that doesn't mean Apple's much-discussed smartphone hasn't had its share of problems. Fortunately, there are some useful tips and strategies for resolving frequent iPhone issues. So, in this article, we'll go through 16 frequent iPhone issues and their remedies. If your iPhone isn't working properly, check out these realistic remedies that have helped many people tackle common iOS difficulties.

Wifi Is Not Getting Connected Wifi Is Not Connecting, or iPhone One of the most prevalent iPhone issues and remedies reported by many customers is sluggish Wi-Fi. The remedy is rather straightforward. First, you need to turn it off and then restart the phone. If the problems persist, go to Settings, then WiFi scrolls down to the bottom of the screen to change the HTTP proxy to auto settings.

Cellular Connection Not Working On iPhone There might be several reasons your iPhone's cellular connection isn't working. For example, the issue might be caused by an outage and network troubles on your iPhone. So, if you encounter this problem, ensure a solid cellular connection and no outage in your neighborhood. You can reset the network settings to resolve the slow network if the problem persists. To do so, go to your device's Settings app and select General. Tap Reset and then select Reset Network Settings.

iPhone App Freezing App freezing and crashing are problems that most of us have encountered at some point. The good news is that you can solve it. Unfortunately, apps frequently freeze or crash when they are out of date. As a result, ensure that the program has been updated to the most recent version (App Store >

Profile). After that, navigate to the app you wish to update. Then click the Update button.

No Newest Version Update Are you looking for typical iPhone issues and remedies before purchasing a new iPhone? One of the most prevalent iPhone issues is that the device is not updated to the most recent iOS version. Connect your smartphone to a Mac or PC and force restart, which will boot your iPhone into recovery mode. Then you will see an update option, and when you click on it, the update will begin, and after done, your phone will function normally. If you cannot view the update choice after a force restart, attempt the restore option, which will erase all data from the phone. You will receive the most recent software version, which may be restored using the previously saved data.

iPhone Data Lost Losing all of your crucial data on your phone is quite annoying. However, this is also another prevalent issue with iPhones. The answer is simple if you have an iCloud backup. Connect your smartphone to iCloud-iPhone. When the device is locked at night, it is possible to sync it. Your lost stuff will be accessible via iCloud. Whether you can't locate it there, you must run to an Apple store to see if there are any chances of recovering the deleted data.

The Camera Is Not Working If you have any limitations enabled, your iPhone camera will not operate. You may confirm this by going to Settings-General and turning on the Camera. The majority of camera issues will be resolved here.

Damage Due To Water

Water is a nightmare for all electrical equipment; the same is true for iPhones. Don't be concerned if your phone is submerged in water; you can attempt various remedies before giving up. After removing the phone from the water, the first step is to use tissue paper to wipe away any excess water. Never turn on the phone immediately since it will cause lasting damage. The next step is to take a cup of rice and place your phone inside. Within 24 hours, the rice will absorb the leftover liquid. You may also physically disassemble and dry the phone, but this requires some skill. If the phone still does not function, contact a neighboring service provider.

Not Getting Charged Another typical iPhone issue is that the battery does not charge when plugged in. First, wipe away any dust or dirt from the charging port. If the problem persists, the next step is to verify the connection cable to see whether it works with other Apple devices, if other USB cables work in the USB socket, and so on. You may also attempt a force restart, or if that doesn't work, a factory reset. Finally, if the problem persists, contact your local service provider.

Stuck Volume Button If the volume button becomes stuck, you may become angry when calls come through at inopportune times. There are several solutions to this problem. First, you might try activating airplane mode. As a result, all calls will be sent to voicemail. You may also silence all of your device's audio. Alternatively, go to settings-accessibility-assistive touch and enable assistive mode. You may now operate your device directly from the main page.

iPhone Is Slow

Your iPhone may occasionally run slowly. Don't be concerned; there are several answers to this problem. To speed up your phone, consider uninstalling any apps, unnecessary data, and screenshots and clearing the browser cache and history.

Not Able To Backup The Data iPhone occasionally fails to back up data to iCloud. Check whether this is the case to see if your iCloud storage is full. If it's full, try removing some data. It includes undesirable photographs, games, and so forth. Game apps, like mail apps, take up a lot of disk space. So could you get rid of it? If you wish to keep your data, consider increasing your storage plan. You can check for iOS upgrades before doing all of these procedures. If not, try resetting network options such as wifi passwords, cellular settings, and VPN settings. To do so, navigate to Settings-General-Reset-Reset Network Settings. These are some of the most frequent iPhone issues and solutions documented. If you have encountered any of the abovementioned difficulties, attempt to resolve them as soon as possible. However, never attempt to handle a problem alone if you are unsure of your abilities. It might irreparably destroy your phone.
