HOW TO USE THE STREET ATLAS The Bali Street Atlas couldnt be simpler to use. The Maps, the Map Legend and the Index have all been specially designed to make finding places quick and easy.
The Maps
Maps of three different scales are grouped into three sections, each section having its own distinctive colour scheme so that it is easy to find the section you need: 1:10,000 - 1:25,000 31 large-scale maps covering busy Bali 1:60,000 - 1:75,000 26 medium-scale maps covering all of Bali including Nusa Penida 1:200,000 3 small-scale maps giving an overview of Bali Using the Key to Maps at the front, locate the area of Bali you wish to look at. The colour scheme and easy-to-read page numbers make it simple to quickly find the right page. Each map is also named after an important feature or locality to help you recognize where you are straight away. If you need to turn to a neighbouring page the arrows ( guide you directly to the correct one.

To find a desired street, building or place, locate it in the alphabetical listings then read off the page number and alphanumeric grid reference on the right. Find the relevant page (e.g. 28). Read across the top or bottom of the map frame to find the correct letter (e.g. D) and read down the left or right side of the map frame to find the correct number (e.g. 6). Using the map grid, locate the grid square where the letter and the number meet and you will find the street, building or place you are looking for within it.
