The Gateway to Empowered Angel Magick

The sigils, as presented here, are quite different from those you find elsewhere. In my book, The 72 Angels of Magick, you find sigils that are significantly different in style and content. Why, you may wonder, do these sigils contain names and words not used in the original sigils? Why are the seals of the Angels, which look like patterns of lines and curves, missing here? Can they possibly be as effective? The simple answer is that these sigils were designed specifically for Empowered Angel Magick; that is, they work with magick that is generated and shared by the members of The Gallery of Magick. We have created a direct and energised connection to the Angels, and it can be accessed and shared with these sigils. At first, this connection to the Angels was shared amongst ourselves, and then with a larger group, and now with you. All the visual information you need to connect with the Angels is here. I will cover all the details found in the sigil, as well as covering the nature of its design, in this document. You do not need to know this information, but I know you may be curious, and so I will elaborate at the end of the book. I will point out that, depending on what device you use, the letters may appear quite small. Do not worry about this, because ordinary letters on a page of text are often small. You probably don’t want to use this on a very small phone screen, but any larger device will work, such as a tablet, a computer screen, or you can even print these out. (The sigils at the beginning of this document are for illustration only – you wouldn’t want to use them when they look that small.)

You may be surprised to learn that the main power you obtain from these sigils doesn’t come from the sacred geometry or the Hebrew names. Although these are powerful in and of themselves, it is the patterns of light and dark texture around the outside of the sigil that have the strongest effect. This is the visual code that connects you to our generative energy, and thus to the Angel. The arrangement of patterns makes each sigil unique, and it is through the patterns that you will unlock the energy of Empowered Angel Magick. This means you can express your needs and desires to an Angel with the minimum of effort, during one brief ritual. If you know anything about Enochian Magick, you may recognize some of the shapes in the sigil. Please note, however, that this is not Enochian. The shapes are derived from sigils and magick forms that predate Enochian. There is more on this in the Appendix if you are interested. You will also notice that for each Angel, you get two sigils. They are almost identical, apart from the details in the centre. At the centre of the first sigil, you find a three-letter Name of God that corresponds to the Angel, displayed three times around and within a six-pointed star. These Names are found in The 72 Sigils of Power by Zanna Blaise, and they can be used to create many magickal effects. Here, they open you to the fullest depth of power by shifting your reaction and response to the magick; they prepare you for contact.

The second sigil contains the Angel’s name and a pentagram. Here, the pentagram is used as a symbol of humanity. The pentagram was used in this way long before it became associated with horror movies and the like. As such, the centre of this sigil is a symbol of a human surrounded 10

by the name of an Angel. At the very centre is a space, in the shape of a pentagon, and this is an entry point for your desires.

By working with the sigils in combination, you connect to the deeper magickal process of The Gallery of Magick. We have enshrined a rapid connection to each Angel through these sigils. You can connect to this process without needing to know all the deeper workings that we undertake. The work is done for you. It could be said that you do little more than look at the sigils and think about what you want from the Angels. There is slightly more to it than that, but I hope you will find this is the simplest possible way to connect with the strongest power of the seventy-two Angels. If you are familiar with my book, The 72 Angels of Magick, this is quite different because there is no call to Raziel, no singing of Angel names, and no need to time your workings to particular days. These rituals can be used on any day, and you only need to perform the ritual once. Does this mean that The 72 Angels of Magick, our most popular Angel book, is now irrelevant? Not at all. There are times when I still prefer to work an eleven-day ritual, working alone and at length. This is usually when I want to contemplate an issue for some time, rather than when I am seeking a quick result, but the method remains an important one. That book also contains a thorough description of the Angels’ powers, as well as some good advice about how to perform magick. You don’t need to buy it if you don’t already own it, but if you do own it already, don’t throw it away, as it’s an excellent companion guide to this work. Know that it covers a great deal of useful advice about how to get results from magick, and that can be invaluable. 11

You may be wondering why we published that book, if Empowered Angel Magick is possible. Well, the Empowered Magick can never be available through a book alone. It just can’t be shared that way. We require a more direct connection with you, and we must become conscious of you (even if only briefly) to bridge the gap between you and the Angels. Now that you are a member of this Patreon, that will happen when you work with these sigils. I am also sure many people will be alarmed to see that these sigils do not contain the familiar Angelic seals. As mentioned earlier, these seals consist of complex interconnected lines and are considered an essential part of most sigils. They are not required here because you are using empowerment to simplify the process. Seals that we have developed with the guidance of Angels were used in crafting and launching this stream of magick, but they would add nothing to the sigils you find in this book. What you get is all you need for the magick to work. It has taken a long time for us to perfect Empowered Magick, and we know that it is never going to be affordable to everybody. And that is as it needs to be because there is a limit on how many people we can invite to this process. If too many people join, we would not be able to become consciously aware of each member. So, the original magick from The 72 Angels of Magick remains completely valid, but now that you’re here, I hope you find this to be a quicker and easier way to make a direct connection with the Angels. I’ll now move on to the practical details, but if you find yourself wondering about the technical details of the sigils themselves, there is an extensive exploration in the Appendix at the end of the book. It’s not important in practical terms, but you may find it interesting. To understand this system, note that there are two distinct stages. The first stage is empowerment. This is where you make a lifelong connection to an Angel. You can make one empowerment each day. The second stage is the ritual; this is where you perform magick with one of the Angels to seek a result. In the early days of working with this system, these two stages will overlap; on some days, you may perform an empowerment, and also a Ritual. To be completely clear, and for the avoidance of doubt, the empowerment rituals are used purely to make your connection to the Angels, and you seek no result during an empowerment. Once a connection is empowered, you can perform a ritual with that Angel whenever you want, seeking whatever results you desire.

Empowering The Sigils Before you begin, you need to be connected to the monthly empowerment offered by The Gallery of Magick through my Patreon. You can join on any day, or you may already be a member. Whatever the case, make sure you have already performed The Connection Ritual for the current month. So, if you obtain this document in February 2022, make sure you use The Connection Ritual from the document called EmpoweredMagick_Feb_2022. It’s contained in a separate post each month. I’m sure you have the hang of that by now. The Connection Ritual only takes a short time. The moment it’s done, you can begin empowering these sigils. You do not, however, have to do so immediately. Work at your own pace, whenever you feel ready. You need to be a member of this Patreon when you are first connecting to an Angel because that initial connection is made through your connection to us. After that, you can leave or stay as you wish, and the connection is a self-sustaining empowerment that will remain in place forever. Your connection to the Angels lasts a lifetime. You can empower one Angel for each day that you are a member of this Patreon. That means that if you join at the beginning of the month, you can empower between 28 and 31 Angel connections in a single month. Working like that, every day, you could empower all the sigils in three months. If you can only afford to be a Patreon member for that long, that’s a great way to work. If you plan on staying with our Patreon, you can work more slowly, empowering each Angel connection at your own pace, or as the need arises. If you can only afford to be on Patreon for a single month, then choose your favourite Angels, and connect to them while you are a member. Please do not try to connect with more than one Angel on any given day. It’s not dangerous, but it just won’t work. You’ll be pleased to know that as soon as you have made an empowered connection to an Angel, you can begin working with that Angel. Starting today, you can perform your first ritual if you want to do so. The sigils appear in colour, but you do not need to see the colour to get a result. If you can see the colour, you will see it resembles something like gold or brass.

A connection to Empowered Angel Magick is encoded in the patterns you see in the outer ring of the sigil (and sometimes over the letters and lines of the sigil itself.) The patterns appear to be some form of wear or weathering. The purpose of these markings and textures is to make each sigil distinctive. It is a visual password that unlocks the connection you need for this magick to work. You may wonder what size the sigil should appear on your screen or printout. As a very rough guide, if the sigil is smaller than your fist held at arm’s length, it is probably too small, so use a larger screen or printout. The sigils certainly don’t need to be any larger than an outspread hand at arm’s length. It doesn’t matter if it is larger, but the image may lose some quality if enlarged too much. As I’ve said before, it’s a robust system, so if you can see the letters and patterns, it works. Try not to worry too much about any of the details, including this. The less you worry, the more easily it works. In this magick, there is no need to say anything out loud, so good pronunciation is not required. If ever you’re unsure of an Angel’s name and want to know how it sounds in your head, you can consult The 72 Angels of Magick, but this is entirely optional and only gives guidance. There is much debate regarding the correct spelling and pronunciation of Angel and God names, and it’s not worth debating. Thankfully, here, it won’t affect you at all. You may notice that there are apparent inconsistencies in some sounds. For the Angel Mahasiah, the Name of God is Mahash. Which might make you think the Angel name should be Mahashiah, with the SH sound, rather than Mahasiah. In truth, many people do prefer to call this Angel Mahashiah, and that is fine. We use the sounds that we have found to be most effective, so don’t let details like this concern you. There are several other examples, and none of them are detrimental to the magick. Rest assured that everything is as it’s meant to be. To empower your connection to an Angel, and the two sigils that correspond to that Angel, find a time where you can be alone and undisturbed. You don’t need sacred silence, but you don’t want to be doing this in a room where people are chatting or watching TV. Give this moment some sense of dignity and importance. Choose the Angel with which you wish to empower a connection. You can start with the first Angel, or look for one that will meet your immediate needs. If you like, you can first read through the entire book, or skim through it, getting an overview of the Angels and their powers. You might want to take note of powers that are particularly appealing to you. (Some people have asked us to make charts showing which Angels 14

work for love, which for money, and so on. Although such charts can be helpful, they can also be restrictive, as the powers can be interpreted in so many ways. As such, I suggest reading through and getting a feel for what the powers mean to you. There is a strong magickal benefit in gaining an intuition about an Angel that may be suitable for your next ritual.) I suggest keeping a written record of your chosen empowerments, especially if you are working out of order, or you may easily forget what you have done. Performing an empowerment twice does no harm, but is a small waste of your time. The act of empowerment is easy to perform, and as I have said before, the only danger is that it may feel too simple. We can get so used to complex rituals and altered states of consciousness, that performing something so simple can feel too easy or almost insignificant. When it feels like nothing grand has happened, doubts can creep in. I ask that you trust this process, despite its simplicity. You have the power to decide that it is significant and to trust in its importance to you. That can make a difference. Some people will notice a change in consciousness during this empowerment. Some people will sense the Angel immediately. Many will hear slight noises, or even music. And some may sense an immediate and strong sense of peace. But most will probably sense little or nothing. Let me reassure you from the outset that what you sense, or don’t sense, has no bearing on the power of the magick you perform. If you feel nothing, that’s normal, so assume it’s worked and be content. Once you feel calm and ready to perform the empowerment, read through the page that describes your chosen Angel’s powers. You may have thoughts, hopes, or feel merely curious. You are not trying to learn. You are merely connecting with the essence of what the Angel may represent to you. This only needs to take a few moments. Now look at both sigils, quite briefly. You are not studying or trying to see anything. A brief look is all you need. You might also want to note the page number as you’ll be returning to it shortly. Next, come back to the end of this chapter, where you find the Prime Sigil for Empowered Angel Magick. This is our construction, similar in design to the monthly sigils you are familiar with. Its only purpose is to enable you to perform this empowerment. Rest your gaze on the central black circle of the Prime Sigil. You do not need to stare, and it is fine if you look at other parts of the sigil, but you do not need to study them. Bring your focus back to the black circle. Know that we are with you. Know that the black circle is a gateway to us. Know that the circle empowers your connection to the Angels. Rest 15

your gaze there for about a minute, and then close your eyes for a few moments. Now, go back to the page you were at before. (If this takes a few moments of searching or scrolling, do not worry. You can’t break the ritual by taking your time or glancing at other sigils as you search. There is no rush. Calmly find the page you need, and know that all will be well. If searching through the document like this bothers you, print out the sigils, or the Prime Sigil, and that will speed things up.) The state of empowerment has already been put in place, and all you need to do now is gaze at each of the Angel’s sigils for a moment. For the first sigil, let your gaze rest on the lines of the central six-pointed star. Gaze for at least ten seconds and no more than a minute. It should not feel forced or rushed, and don’t worry about getting it right. While gazing, know that you are connecting to Empowered Angel Magick. If your eyes wander, that is fine, but you do not need to look directly at any other part of the sigil. Now gaze at the second sigil, and let your eyes rest on the lines of the central pentagram. Again, know you are connecting to Empowered Angel Magick. There’s no need to overthink what this means. You can’t get it wrong. The letters and patterns will be absorbed by your subconscious. After no more than a minute, it is done. When the ritual is complete, there is nothing else you need to do. As you can see, it is easy to empower one connection each day, as this takes an extremely short time. The connection never needs to be strengthened or renewed. You can now perform a ritual with this Angel immediately or at any time in the future. See the next chapter for details. Remember, you can only empower one Angel each day. If it’s Monday when you perform an empowerment, any time on Tuesday will work for the next one. Use the calendar days from your time zone rather than measuring twenty-four-hour periods. If you are in no rush, there is no harm in waiting weeks between empowerments. Working every day is also fine, so long as it never feels like an obligation. The Prime Sigil appears on the following page.

Rituals of Empowered Angel Magick Here I will describe how you can perform a ritual with any Angel in this book once you have completed the empowerment for that Angel. The process is again deceptively simple. For each Angel, you will see a brief list of powers. You may notice this list is slightly different from the powers listed in other books, even books I have written, and with some slight changes to the powers from Zanna’s book. This is all to be expected. What you see here is a summary of the main powers. If there are other powers that you know about from other books, feel free to try them. The descriptions of the powers are short, so if you feel the need to read longer descriptions, have a look at The 72 Angels of Magick. You can, however, do very well by choosing to interpret the powers as described. I know this might take a leap of faith, but please trust me when I say that if you interpret a power yourself, you will almost certainly be correct. For example, one of the powers in this book is: Increase the passion in a relationship. You may wonder, does this mean in both people, or just yourself, or just the other person? Does it work on somebody you’ve recently met, or within a marriage? Is it for romantic passion, or could it work for a passion project in a business relationship? Well, the good news is that it can be interpreted in any way that fits the description. Don’t doubt your intuition. It has been said that all Angels can create all kinds of magickal results, and that assigning powers to them in this way is merely a way of tuning our desires. I don’t think it’s always that simple, and I know some Angels definitely excel in certain areas. But I also know that you can interpret the powers as you wish, and you will be right. With that said, the wording is quite precise, and it is worth studying it a little. In this example, it says to increase the passion. If there’s no passion at all, you probably can’t create passion with this Angel, so you might want to look to another Angel. Bear this in mind when interpreting, and you will do very well. This doesn’t mean you can’t experiment, but if you feel like you’re stretching the interpretation beyond plausibility, you probably are. Sometimes, I’m asked if you can combine two powers from a single Angel into one ritual. You can, but given that these rituals are so simple and so brief, I suggest that you should perform multiple rituals to target each aspect of the situation.

For this ritual, you do not need the Prime Sigil from the previous chapter, so just go to the page with the Angel you want to work with. If you have worked with other forms of magick, you will know that you often form a request, or you write down your desire in the past tense, as though it has already happened. You may also make calls directly to the Angels, explaining how you feel and why you want the change. In this form of Empowered Angel Magick, you do not need to do any of that. You only need to think about your desired result, so it’s important to be clear about what it is you want. Before you begin, know what it is that you want the Angel to help you with. You may, in fact, find it helpful to turn it into a phrase, such as, ‘I want more passion in my relationship.’ Or you may have a strong feeling, or a clear image. This all depends on how you think, and some people prefer words, while others like sounds, images, or emotions. Use them all, or just what feels right for you. If you’ve ever been around children at breakfast time, you’ll know that it can be difficult for people to know what they want. If there are too many cereals on offer, the kids might jump from one idea to another, then shift to the idea of toast or pancakes or sausages. It can turn into quite a panic, often because they don’t know what they want, and most of all, because they’re worried about missing out on the other options. We can all act like this at times, and it can feel a little like this when you think about what you want from magick. That’s why you should become clear about your desires before you begin the ritual. Don’t let confusion or panic take away your joy. Get all your thinking done before the ritual begins. You don’t have to be too specific. I’ve said many times that being too specific can make it difficult for magick to find a way to manifest a result. If you insist you want money but that it must come from an inheritance from Uncle Dave, you’re asking for some mighty things to happen, especially to poor old Uncle Dave. But if you just ask for money to help you start your business, that’s much easier. You focus on your desire rather than on the mechanics of the solution. Feel your desire, but let the Angel work out how to solve the problem. If you don’t care where the money comes from, the Angels of magick will do the creative work for you. When you know what it is that you want, that’s the magickal result you are seeking. Right now, the world is a certain way. There is a situation that you want to change. If that change occurs, you’ve got your result. This may sound extremely obvious, but putting it in those terms can sometimes help you to define what the result you really want is. 19

Once you’re clear, without being too specific, you are ready to begin. In the following steps, I will suggest that you gaze at the sigil. To do this, let your eyes rest gently on the centre of the sigil. For the first sigil, this will be the six-pointed star. For the second, it might be the pentagram or the black space at the centre of the pentagram. Your eyes are free to wander, but let them rest in the centre again when you can. Remember, you are not studying the sigil but letting your eyes take it all in, softly and without effort. The ritual is as simple as this. You gaze at the first sigil and think about the situation you want to change. You don’t need to think about the result you want at this point. You only need to think about the problem, challenge, or whatever it is that’s not right for you in this moment. You need to do this for at least fifteen seconds, but for no more than a minute. Exact timing is not required, and if you go for a couple of minutes, that’s fine. Now gaze at the Angel’s second sigil, and think about the result you want. This result is what happens when the current situation changes. You just think about that while gazing at the sigil. Think about it in words, pictures, or feelings. Know that the Angel is with you and knows your desire. Again, stay in this state for around fifteen seconds to a minute. To end the ritual, you close your eyes, feel a mental ‘thank you’ or feel a sense of gratitude for being heard. And that is all. You do not need to plead, beg, command, or hope. I’ll give you one extremely simple example. Let’s imagine that your personal relationship with your partner is lacking in passion. You are in love, but you’ve let things get you down, and you’ve both been bickering more than sharing. You believe the solution would be more passion, in your friendship, in your shared hobbies, as well as in your physical love. You think about this for a while and simplify it down to thinking that right now, your relationship lacks passion. You want the ritual to bring the passion back. It’s as simple as that. You find the right Angel. In this case, it would be Yeliel. You gaze at the first sigil as described and think about the lack of passion. You don’t think about how it might change or what would be better. You just notice what’s not so great. You think about the bickering, the lack of smiles, the silences. After a minute, you move your gaze to the second sigil for Yeliel, and you think about what you want. You want that passion to come back, and to increase. It would be so great if you were laughing together again, if you were passionate lovers, if you shared your joy more than your sorrow. You think about that, for as long as it feels right, while gazing at

the sigil. And then you close your eyes, feel gratitude, perhaps thinking the words ‘thank you’ to the Angel. And it is done. You have all the instructions you need to get good results. Getting this to work will require you to move from one page to the next, but don’t worry if this takes a few moments. As mentioned earlier, the practicalities don’t break the magick. You can perform several rituals a day, in theory, but please note the following chapter for some insight into this. It’s not what I suggest. Overloading on magick, just because you can, is not the wisest approach. Choose the changes you genuinely want to see, and ask for them with sincerity. You can use this brief summary once you fully understand the details described above. 1. Before you begin, make sure you have performed The Connection Ritual for this month’s Empowered Magick. 2. You should also have forged an empowered connection to the Angel you wish to work with, as described in the chapter called Empowering The Sigils. 3. Think about what it is that you want. The result should be related to one of the Angel’s powers. When you are clear about what you want, move to the next step. 4. In a place where you will not be disturbed, gaze at the Angel’s first sigil and think about the situation as it is now. Think about what it is that you want to change. Don’t focus on the result you seek, but on how the situation is now. After about a minute, you should be done. 5. Move your gaze to the Angel’s second sigil. Now think about the result you want. Don’t be too specific in how the result will come about, but think about your desired result. You can think in words, pictures, pure thought, emotions, or in whatever way is easiest for you. After a minute or so, you should be done. 6. Close your eyes and think or feel a brief ‘thank you’ to the Angel. Go back to your life and do not worry about whether or not the magick will work.

Essentials of Magick Whether you’re just starting out, or if you’ve been doing this for years, I hope you’ll find these few points a useful guide. How to choose an Angel One of the questions I have been asked the most often is which Angel is best suited to a particular problem. I can rarely, if ever, answer that question. I can never know how you really feel, what you truly want, or how you respond to particular Angels. This is why I always suggest reading through the book, looking through the powers, and letting your intuition guide you. This might take longer than having somebody else say, ‘Hey, try this Angel,’ but it is time very well spent. You are trying to change your life with this magick, so be willing to explore, and trust your intuition when looking for a solution. Work on what is changeable I’ve often advised people to work on the smallest change that will make a difference. Some people have said that surely the Angels can do anything we ask of them, so we should ask for great change. While this is theoretically true, in practical magick, it has been found over and over again that asking for a meteoric change means nothing happens at all. This doesn’t mean the magick has failed. It means that it’s working to create a change that may take years, so nothing noticeable happens. And then, when you decide it’s failed, that magick does, in fact, stop. So, it feels like a failure, and it looks like a failure. If you’d aimed for a smaller change, you’d probably have got a result. It makes far more sense to decide what change will make you genuinely happy and aim for that. So, if you want to become rich, you don’t perform a ritual to be rich. You take the first steps to being rich. That might mean finding the money to buy a suit to go to a meeting. This is a massive oversimplification, but I’m sure you can see what I’m getting at. And here’s the best thing about all this; when you sincerely ask for something that’s only just out of reach, you often get more than you asked for. Sometimes you also obtain great insight into your reality and get many clues as to what the next step should be. This is one of the joys of working with Angel magick. 22

The more patient you are, the faster things happen There’s not much more to add to this because that sentence really says it all. I could add that you shouldn’t check up on the magick. Try to accept that it’s going to work and don’t keep checking to see whether it has. If you find this difficult and you’re obsessing about the result, or chasing it in your mind, you can try this: imagine how good you’d feel if the result had already happened. This is a little like pretending, but is immensely powerful. If you can imagine you are in the future, looking back at the result, feeling relief and gratitude, that will do you so much good. Worrying about a result will hold it away, so do what you can to allow results to come whenever they come. Don’t write off a delay as a failure This is similar to a few points that have been made above. I have already pointed out that magick may be working in the background, so assuming it’s failed because it hasn’t met your timetable is a sure-fire way of cancelling your magick. Instead, assume it will work and let it work at its own pace. The problem, of course, is that you do want this result. So, what if it really doesn’t work? Sometimes, you will get the sense that you have given it enough time and the result is not going to come. If you feel certain of this, first of all, try not to feel too bad. If you get angry at your choices, or angry at magick, or doubt your abilities, you just fill your magick with the wrong kind of energy. If you can, try to see this as progress because you are now better placed to choose a different approach to this problem. You can always find a slightly different result to ask for, and one that will still make you feel satisfied. As a simple example, if you performed magick to make somebody leave the office where you work, you might find that it’s better to perform magick to make that person quieter and more agreeable. When you work with a problem or challenge, you will find a way. See the final point in this chapter to see how you can look into this more deeply and how you can improve your magick. Fluctuations are not disruptions People are quite afraid of disruption, even though it is usually just another word for change. In some kinds of magick, disruption is almost inevitable, and this causes a great deal of (usually unnecessary) anxiety. With this 23

magick, disruption is not a factor, so you can relax. Be aware, however, that when you are working on bigger changes, there will be fluctuations. I said earlier that you should ask for the smallest change that makes a difference, but as you get better and more confident, you will find you can make much grander requests. When you do, big changes can come. And on the way to big changes, there will be fluctuations in your fortune. If I try to build a new business, I know that there will be good days and bad days. I also know there will be a few terrible days where it seems like disaster has struck. A competitor may have better ideas. A warehouse might burn down. An essential employee may leave. These seem like disasters, but in the grand scheme, they are quite ordinary. This is what it’s like to run a business. If you look back after ten years, you always see they were blessings in disguise. The trick is to know this even when disasters seem to be occurring. Using this magick, you’re not going to attract disasters or disruptions. But when you’re aiming high, there will be fluctuations. You must get used to this. That’s true whether or not you use magick because there are always setbacks on the way to the top. I have seen people give up on magick because there was a brief setback, and it’s heartbreaking. Sometimes, people are working towards a goal, and when there’s a fluctuation or change, they panic and believe the magick has betrayed them or that they’ve been cursed. In truth, it’s just a fluctuation. And it’s also worth noting that often, the largest fluctuations occur just before the greatest changes, so if you remain courageous and stick to your belief that you will get what you want, things will work out. I should reiterate this is for large changes, but it may also be useful to consider this when working on smaller changes. A minor disappointment does not herald disaster. It may mean your goal is just around the corner. If something bad happens, it was going to happen anyway Sometimes, people work with magick, and an hour later, something bad happens, and it seems like magick was to blame. This can cause unnecessary panic. I’ve said this many times, but magick will not protect you from every bump on the head or stubbed toe. In the past year, I’ve managed to trip over, drop beloved objects, and make some glorious mistakes, and it’s all ok. Magick gives me a good life, but I don’t float around on a magick carpet. I look at ordinary accidents and incidents as nothing other than everyday happenings. If you assume magick has gone 24

wrong because something bad happens, you’re going to damage the way you feel about magick. The worst example is when somebody dies the day after you perform a ritual. It’s easy to blame yourself. But magick just doesn’t work like that or I’d have caused a great deal of havoc. And, to be frank, people die all the time. In the past ten years, I have lost so many friends (I’m at that age) but never for one moment have I thought it’s because magick is dangerous. My friends were just getting old. People die, accidents happen, and that’s never going to change. When things do go wrong, assume that it’s an ordinary incident. Also, you might also like to know that when you work with Angel magick, you are far less likely to have accidents. Even if you don’t specifically work with protection magick, I firmly believe that working with any Angel magick gives you some protection. Overall, you should be much better off. Less is often more Don’t do too many rituals at once. Firing ten rituals at a problem will not force it into submission. Work with more subtlety and be calm. Too many rituals can make you feel insecure. One trusted ritual fills your magick with power. You can, of course, use this magick at the same time as performing rituals from other systems of magick. Experiments don’t always work I love experimenting with magick and would not be where I am today if I hadn’t spent so much time trying out new ideas. I know many people will read about this method and will immediately want to combine it with other magick. Can you combine this with the techniques from The 72 Angels of Magick, for example, to make a more complex ritual? Yes, you can, but you don’t need to, and I wouldn’t even say it’s worth the effort. What I think you should note is that experiments are, by their nature, subject to far more failures than established methods. That’s ok because they can also lead to revolutions. But if you just want to get this working, keep it simple and use what’s suggested. If you want to add in your own methods, as I know many of you will, that’s fine, but please consider anything other than the essential techniques to be an experiment. And experiments don’t always work. So long as you know that, feel free to adapt what’s on offer. If you’re new to magick, know that you don’t have to change a thing. 25

Take advantage of what we have shared This book is not meant to replace everything we have written before. To gain a full understanding of how to work magick, you might benefit from reading some of our books. It’s been said that Archangels of Magick has the best overview of magick, and is a priceless way to gain an understanding of how to get results. Others may prefer different books, but I think you can find a lot in there that helps to get things moving. But you don’t need to spend any more money if you don’t already own that book. On the Gallery of Magick website, many practical details of magick are explored in great detail. It does take a bit of wandering around to find them, looking through various FAQs and blog posts. But if you’re willing to spend the time, there’s the equivalent of three books worth of practical material. If you’re ever looking for an answer, go on an adventure and find what’s out there.

Appendix: The Structure of the Sigils If you are at all familiar with magick, you may find that these sigils look similar to the Sigillum Dei (or Seal of God) used by John Dee, a famous occultist who worked a few centuries ago. They are not, however, the same. The image below shows the general shape of Dee’s sigil. I’ve left out the hundreds of letters and symbols Dee used for the sake of clarity, but this gives you an idea of its shape, which is similar to ours but not the same.

The Sigillum Dei was used by John Dee to help contact Angels and to discover Enochian Magick. This has led some people to believe that it is a gateway to Enochian Magick, and although there may be some truth to this, I believe a more accurate statement is that these shapes are a form of sacred geometry that allow access to Angels. It just so happens that Dee used his connection with Angels to develop Enochian Magick. The shapes are not inherently Enochian, but they are inherently magickal and they are inherently Angelic.

If you’ve read my book, Success Magick, you will know that I believe Enochian is extremely powerful and almost a source code for all magick, but I am often dismayed that people confuse Dee’s magickal tools for discovering Enochian with practical Enochian magick itself. The Sigillum Dei is not an Enochian device, but an Angelic one. I point this out because many people think that Dee’s sigil is a unique image associated only with Enochian magick, and that is far from true. The sacred geometry can be applied to many forms of magick and has been found in countless cultures across the ages. The Angel magick we have shared with you here is not Enochian magick, and the shapes used are quite different, originating from magick that was used long before Dee created his sigil. As such, we are not just doing a chaos-magick mashup here, but taking the essence of geometry from many sources to create a connection that works effectively. Although sigils are drawn with great precision now, they were not always drawn this way, and it was long assumed that hinting at the right shapes was enough. We craft our sigils with precision, but it’s worth knowing that the older sources, which came long before the famous sigil used by Dee, were often far from precise, and they were not as complex as the images that came in later centuries. We have aimed for something that includes a degree of precision, and also a sparse number of letters and images so that the sigils are not overwhelming. If you study the sigils for long enough, you will see that they are anything but imprecise. In summary, the geometric arrangement we have used is based on very old magick, and we use it because it is effective. Although this may sound obvious, I always like to point out that we are less interested in particular systems, rules and traditions than we are in finding fundamental powers that work. In this case, the patterns you see work for Empowered Angel Magick. Would our sigils be any of any use if you are not a member of this group and if you have not used the empowerment available through Patreon? To an extent, they may be useful because they have rich content, but most of their power comes from the connection you make to Empowered Angel Magick. The following pages look at what exactly is contained in the sigils. This is not required reading, which is why it’s at the end of the book, but sometimes the knowledge can make the magick easier to absorb. Other readers prefer to know less, so it’s up to you how much of this background material you delve into.

In the central area, around the pentagram, you can see names of five Hebrew letters, going anti-clockwise; they are Vav, He, Vav, Yod, and He. These spell the name Vehuiah, which is the first Angel of the seventy-two. Everything else in the sigil remains almost exactly the same, whatever the Angel. What you see above is a representation of the letters when translated to English. If it doesn’t mean much now, you should

understand more as you read on, and the above page can be a useful reference.

The outer circle, shaded in dark grey, contains the seventy-two-letter Name of God. The version used here is the most prevalent and effective in magick. You can find out more about the name in some of our books, and you can see all the letters here. They are read from right to left, shown here in two lines.

You do not, of course, need to know what the letters are or what they mean, and they are shown here only out of interest, not for any magickal purpose. But you may be interested to know that in each sigil, this ring of letters is rotated slightly, so that the first letter of the Angel’s name is always at the very top of the outer ring.

The shaded area shown here contains seven different Names of God. These are all names known to have magickal properties. El, on the upper left, is one of the most powerful magickal names, despite its simplicity, as it goes back to extremely ancient cultures. Moving anti-clockwise, all these names are known to have different effects on magick. Akatriel is an Angel name to some, and is also a Name of God. The final Name is YHVH, or the Tetragrammaton. In many cultures, this is said to have no known pronunciation and so is presented purely as the letters YHVH. In Hebrew, those letters are Yod, He, Vav and He. In magick, the name is often pronounced as EE-AH-OH-EH, which almost sounds like the more familiar Yahweh.

This shaded area is a heptagram, and here it contains the complete FortyTwo Letter Name of God. A heptagram is a seven-pointed star that is sometimes described as a shape that can be drawn without lifting the pen from the page. That requires more skill than you might think, and even comprehending its geometry can be a challenge due to the way it folds over itself. It is quite beautiful to behold, almost like a hint at infinity, and is strongly magickal in its form. Shown here in grey, you can see that it is interlocked with the pentagon (the white seven-sided polygon). It also surrounds a second, smaller heptagon that is arranged at a different angle. The tips of the heptagram meet with the edges of the outer circle. The Forty-Two Letter Name of God has many applications in magick, and also leads to direct contact with Angels that enable change in many areas. Although you are working with the Seventy-Two Angels, you will be accessing the indirect coordination of power with many other Angels and Archangels. Once more, you do not need to know every detail, as we have distilled this into something you can achieve by using the sigil, and the complexities of the empowerment are handled by The Gallery of Magick.

The heptagon that is shaded above, contains many great Words of Power that are used in magick. Their history is too lengthy to be described in any detail here, but they are known to be powerful and safe ways to increase and focus a magickal effect. You may find more detail by exploring our other books, where these words are also used.

The inner heptagon, shaded in the image above, contains the names of Archangels that influence magick. They are Metatron, Raziel, Michael, Haniel, Tzadkiel, Gabriel and Raphael. You may already know that various different spellings are used throughout magick, for all Angels and spirits, and for Archangels such as these. Here, we have used the spellings that have stood up to academic scrutiny but, more importantly, spellings that help us to achieve the effects we want. You are not required to know anything about these Archangels, but it may help to know they bring a commanding structure, form, and protection to this working, amongst other things.

As discussed earlier, in this book, every Angel has two sigils. The first uses a Name of God, and the second uses the Angel name itself. You can tell the sigils apart by looking at the centre of the sigil. In this image, you see a shaded area and a six-pointed star. The Name of God that relates to the Angel you are working with is repeated three times. It is written twice in an anti-clockwise fashion around the outside of the star, and once in the centre of the star, written from right to left.

The second sigil (for each Angel) contains a pentagram and the Angel’s name, formed by a single anti-clockwise ring of letters. You might also notice that each Angel name is formed by taking the associated Name of God, and adding one more sound to it. The sound is either EL or IAH. The diagrams below show these suffixes and also how they are added onto the end of God Names to create an Angel Name.

This image shows small gaps that appear between the heptagram and the largest heptagon. The arrows point to each of these gaps, which have been shaded. You might expect that these gaps would be identical in a mathematically correct sigil. Many of the oldest sigils were such hasty scribbles, with only a nod to form, that this has never bothered me, but it can be reassuring to know that everything is as it’s meant to be. You may notice there is, in fact, far more structure to this than is immediately apparent. Although there is power in sacred geometry, sigils do not need any form of sacred geometry. You can write a list of Angel names, use that as a sigil, and you can get a result. My book, Words of Power, showed this to be the case, even though there was some small use of geometry in there. I do hope, however, that you can sense there is a balance and beauty in the arrangement shown here, and it is one that was created after a great deal of direct work with the Angels.
